    What happened:1.I bought and paid for the blue chip transmission package with extended warranty - $6950 including core 2.Received transmission December 2023 3.Installed late May 2024 **** broke first week of June, after only a few days of driving back and forth to work 5.Corresponded and told to send it back for ***airs 6.Repairs confirmed covered by the company ***. ***** settings were made internally by the builder. The ***airs would be covered and completed 7.Told by *** would be shipped back didnt happen 8.Week later my mechanic checked w/company if had been shipped. The *** ***lied stating ***airs not covered as I didnt return warranty paperwork, I had to pay, and I (the purchaser) was aware of all this. I most certainly was not. I have never received any warranty paperwork to fill out and return, neither has the company informed me of such. I have nearly 80 emails to/from them and dozens of calls both prior to and after the sale.9.Been trying for over two weeks to contact the owner to resolve but now no one will answer my calls or emails. I need my vehicle back in service as its critical to my job.Points:**** one ever said anything about warranty paperwork they have all my information 2.I paid for a package with extended 3-year warranty 3.Broke within 3 days of driving 4.The *** admitted it was Performance Automatics fault that it broke. 5.Told it would be ***aired, what the ***airs were, and would be shipped back soon.6.Then told otherwise as described above ********* says if ***air work is not covered by warranty, the work has to be authorized by me it was not 8.And shift controller included with the purchased package was still not working (as discussed personally with the owner via phone prior). No help or support had been provided on that.9.All this is documented with emails, texts, photos, etc

    Performance Automatic did not contact me but returned my transmission about a week ago.  There was no mention if the transmission had been repaired though they stated previously they would.  I cannot confirm.  However, the transmission arrived by carrier and was broken in several pieces - a total loss.  I have contacted PA multiple times and they will not file a claim with the carrier.  I found just yesterday - by contacting the carrier, R&L - that the shipment had no insurance other than their standard which is 10 cents per pound.  The total settlement would therefore be only $17 for a $7000 transmission that weighs 170 lbs.  PA is still completely unresponsive.  The business should be rated as low as possible.  I called the Washington County Sheriff and they said the business "is an ongoing problem".

    I placed an order on line to purchase a part 2-23-24. I received an acknowledgement to my order on that date. As of this date, I have not heard from them since. I have sent them numerous e-mails, and made several phone calls to them. No reply to anything. I sent them a request to cancel my order this same date. I have not been charged to my knowledge, but they do have my credit card information. I am afraid to order the part from someone else for fear Performance will ship and charge me in the future. If they are out of business it would be nice to know.

    I Purchased the Streetsmart 4R70W AODE transmission package through ******************* from Performance Automatic (PA).I have been dealing with this lemon for three years now, and it has never shifted properly. I worked with *** to make sure that the *** and wiring were all hooked up correctly and functioning properly.I have worked diligently with PA trying to figure out just why I dont get a normal shift sequence in overdrive (OD). I even returned the transmission for warranty repair to **, (********, MD) at a cost of $892 shipping to me. After reinstalling the transmission, I thought there would not be any further problems. But, the transmission had the exact same shifting issues, (as if nothing had been done).I dropped the pan so that I could look at and replace the filter if needed. When I pulled the filter down I found a bolt hanging down over an 1/4 from the valve body, (others were loose).After a call to PA, I finally took the transmission to a transmission specialist in **********. The owner and transmission expert allowed me to watch while he dismantled and assessed the transmission. It became obvious that short cuts were made on the initial build that led to the failure. It also became obvious that nothing had been done to fix the problem when I sent it back to Performance Automatic in ******** for repair.After a complete rebuild. I put the transmission in the truck. Now the truck and transmission are running excellent. The *** control works perfect, smooth shifting and no problems whatsoever.I called the PA customer service and technical support department numerous times. Most of the time they are extremely difficult to reach. Speed-shop direct also contacted them and requested that I be fully compensated. I have never gotten a return call or response from PA. I feel that its only fair that the cost of repair $2467.18 be refunded to me.Also because they didnt fix the problem, the cost of shipping $892 should be refunded to me.
