    Beware of this business! The service technician does not give you an itemized bill when he has completed the work requested! Insist on one before you pay your bill!
    We called to set up an appointment and were told there was a $16.95 trip charge and an hourly rate of $103.00. We were never told that they charge you for the time to come to your house and the time to get to their next appointment after leaving your house!
    When we were emailed the bill later that evening, they charged us for 2 hours labor! The technician was only at our house 45 minutes! They charged us 20 minutes to get to our house which is only 7.6 miles away. It takes 12 minutes using the interstate.....Then they charged us another 20 minutes to get to their next appointment which was only 3 miles away! What's really bad is that they are double-dipping! We paid for the time for them to get to their next appointment and the next customer paid them also for the time it took them to get there! When I mentioned this to Stephanie she had no comment and couldn't even look at me!
    For a company that's been in business 100 years, this is a terrible way to do business! It was my first and last time using them! What's even worse, we gave the technician a $20 tip to go have lunch!
    They said they might send me a refund for half an hour after talking to the technician. I'm not holding my breath.....

    In this instance, we believe that there may have been some mis-communication regarding our travel time policy and are sorry that we have lost you as a customer.
    On your visit to HPG, our Service Supervisor:
    1. Cordially reiterated our policy regarding our billing and trip/travel charge which was previously relayed to & agreed upon by your wife, especially stating that you were not charged for travel time to the next appointment.
    2. Offered a courtesy credit of 1/2-hour labor, which was mailed to you on 12/12/24.
    3. Sends apologies for not responding or looking at you pertaining your comments, however, she became upset at how you spoke to her in a condescending tone.
    Our technicians thank you for the generous tip.
    In an effort to maintain our A+ rating, we are taking steps to improve our communication with our customers, by sending out confirmation emails/texts, to ensure that our travel time/trip charge policies are explained in a more clear and specific method.
