While looking for a trainer for my two small dogs, I received information for Charm City K9. I spoke with ****** ****** who led me to believe she is a full-time trainer and would easily assist my dogs.We made the agreement of four weeks training for a total of $5,000 ($2,500 up front and $2,500 at completion of services). ****** insisted on picking the dogs up from me instead of me bringing them to her/her training facility; she picked them up 2/16/25 and I paid "****** ******" with a check in the amount of $2,500.00 as the first of two installments. During the upcoming weeks, there was text communication. I also became aware that ****** also works at *****, and is not providing full time training to her boarded dogs - she reassured me that her 'husband' also participated in the business, offering training while she was at work.Weeks later, on March 31st, after speaking with a friend, I heard that ******'s business may be fraudulent. I cancelled the second check (that had been delivered to ***** earlier that day). ****** initially declined to let me pick the dogs up from her address (insisting she would bring them to me), but eventually provided the address (**********************************). ******'s partner, **** (also on business card), told me he has no involvement with the business and initially would not let me see my dogs. ****** arrived and declined to let me see the boarding facilities, but appeared to go to their townhouse basement to retrieve my pets. The dogs were neglected, smelled of urine, and were more reactive than when she first took them. Of note, the address I retrieved the dogs from (where they were being boarded and 'trained'), was a different location than the registered address for Charm City K9. This address is also a different property than the images displayed on their website. I will not pay the remaining $2500 and request reimbursement for the paid $2500. I also want this business investigated so no one else's dogs are abused.

My issues with Charm City K9 Dog Training is regarding the integrity of the company. I have paid this company $5500. $3500 for a board and train in July 2024 that my dog completed and $2000 for a board and train scheduled for Christmas 2024 that I cancelled. I have two main issues. My first issue is for the $2000. September 4, 2024, I booked a $2000 board and train for my dog scheduled for the week of Christmas and cancelled it Oct *******. Through text message, ****** the owner of this company agreed to give me my payment back in full. After following up with her multiple times on the status of my re-payment she says she does not have enough money to give me my payment back, implying that she used my money for something other than what I paid her for; her service to train my dog in December. My second issue with ****** is that she promised his ********** and train would come with a "Educator by E-collar Technologies" electronic stimulation collar. These collars range from $200-$280 The day she picked my dog up from my house she asked me to pick out a color- I chose teal, and she said she would order it. I inquired about the collar a couple weeks later and she said "the ordering process is really weird". Since, I have inquired more and I have gotten no response.
