My dog Aspen has been going there for a while now but I took her there about a month ago and she's been infested with fleas ever since! I'm not one to complain but I've had to throw away my sofa, rugs, dog beds and I'm probably gonna have to get rid of everything else! I really can't afford this! I've done everything I can think of to get rid of them! You all need to do a better job of cleaning! Something has to be done about this asap! And people need to know about this! This isn't the last time your gonna hear about this!!!

I have a 20-year-old ragdoll cat named, Angel. She has been going to Arbutus Animal Hospital since she was 2 months old. The veterinarian has been removing plaque and tartar from my kitty's teeth since she was around two years old. I called on 10/4/24 to schedule an appointment to have the plaque removed from my baby girl's teeth and to have her claws trimmed. I was shocked by their response. I was told that my kitty has too many problems, and they are afraid that even trimming her claws will be too stressful. UNBELIEVABLE! Angel has been getting her claws trimmed since before I purchased her from the breeder. It does not stress my girl out to get her claws trimmed! Arbutus Animal Hospital cleaned Angel's anal sacs and did a blood draw for my kitty in 6/2024 when Angel was 19 years and 10 months old. They were not worried about her stress level then! When I asked to speak to Dr. ****. I was told i can't.
Angel has CKD and HTN. Dr. **** never told me Angel has CKD. I found out when her serum phosphorus level reached 6.5 and her SrCr reached 2;1 in January 2024. Angel's SrCr increased to 3.4 in March 2024 under Dr. Luke's care. Dr. Luke never checked Angel's BP. I read about CKD in cats when I learned that this is what Angel has. It is recommended to check their BP. I took Angel to a vet who specializes in cats. I asked this vet to check Angel's BP in 7/24. Angel's BP was 220! My new vet put Angel on amlodipine. Her BP is now 120, which is normal.
In Mach 2024, Arbutus Animal Hospital recommended that I take Angel to Internal medicine. They told me that senior cats may need the care that only internal medicine can give. I did call to make an appointment. However, I did not like that they said they would keep my girl for hours without me present. This is when I found the cat vet who has been a gem. I will have to learn how to care for Angel's teeth myself. If you have a senior pet, I highly recommend that you do not go to Arbutus Animal Hospital. GOD bless you.
