I am not from the area I moved to Maryland for work. I purchased my dream home with a 203K loan and hired Rave Contracting to be the general contractor to oversee the renovation. Mr. Phillips was referred to me through my realtor's friend, whom I trusted. Everything was going well with the renovation until Mr. Phillips (owner of Rave Contracting) hired a tree service company for the landscaping project. The tree service company did VERY poor work, that damaged my property. They destroyed the ground grading by displacing dirt and created craters and holes with their equipment, now when it rains I have large pools of water in my yard. They removed 10 additional trees that were not marked for removal, they left debris everywhere, disconnected my fence gates and left them, and pulled down cable wires attached to my house causing me to loss 2 days of work (I work from home). Mr. Phillips originally said he was going to replace 5 trees and fix the grading problem. That was over a month and half ago. I have not been contacted by Mr. Phillips since, he received full payment for the work. I have tried to reach Mr. Phillips for over a month now; I left voice, text and email messages several times. He is completely ghosting me! Mr. Phillips was paid $23,000 for the landscaping project and he has NOT returned any of my messages. I paid $8,000 to fix what his subcontract did in order to make my property safe. It is not right what they did and how Mr. Phillips is ignoring my request for restitution. I have to pay twice. I just would like for Mr. Phillips to give back the money I paid to fix his subcontractor mess.
