Hello, I started this online course to get my certificate in microblading. Everything started out good. I had a zoom meeting with Kechia the owner. The meetings felt a little weird. First time she was in a small empty looking room at her parents house. All the other times in her fancy name brand cars. Some meetings involved other people, so that felt normal. She really didn't teach much. Videos online explained everything.. only asked everyone on Mondays if we needed anything. I learned what I needed without her help. I even paid for a blood pathogens test on a website she recommended in order to pass the class. All seemed real. I had things ready to start my own business and Clients ready to schedule. Kechia flaked on multiple occasions. Either the next class assignment wasn't giving me access or I was completely getting ignored. I should have finished august 22, 2022. I was emailing and texting for a response every week, then every couple weeks. Now I officially sent my final text and email today saying I was pretty much reporting her. The address comes up some agency. Not even brow co. I'd like a refund. I paid through affirm but it's pretty much all paid up now. I have no idea what I should do.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2022/12/08) */ ***Document Attached*** Hello, recent conversation between Kechia and I. I have ever text, email, and assignments saved since start to finish backing up my case. I have nothing against Kechia , but this class has been nothing but unprofessional. I'm only requesting a full refund from Kechia. I've lost clients and ambition to microblade over this process. The class started 6/15/22 and was set to end 8/22/22 for my microblading certificate. Im now hearing from Kechia over my request to BBB. I had everything turned in but two assignments over Keshia's failed attempt to respond as a teacher and open portals to those assignments to be finished. Once a week there were live video sessions if needing help with any assignments. Usually she canceled or didn't say much. Eventually a new class was added into my sessions that were weeks behind. Kechia would get me confused with her new class. That's were the problems began. It would take her weeks sometimes to open my portal access to a new weekly assignment. I've never been given a grade for all the homework I turned in. Then, all a sudden I wasn't getting any text or email responses from kechia. Months and months went by. I assumed I was scammed. No high class school ignores students like this. I truly have nothing against Kechia. I went into this class feeling as if I could succeed. She's nice and gave feedback once. Kechia gave you freedom to work at your own pace, I understand she's busy with her company, but students are equally important. It felt disrespectful getting ignored for months and months, over what reason? I think a refund is more than acceptable in this case. I'm not even worried about the money I wasted on the blood pathogens certificate and everything I needed to succeed microblading. I have no deserve to finish this class for a certificate now. Anyone would have to understand that. I pretty much made myself look like a fool telling customers I would be ready in September to microblade there eyebrows. Please let me know if you would like further proof. Business Response /* (4000, 8, 2022/12/13) */ This write up is in response made to the claim issued on December 2, 2022 by Kayla ********. ***** started our online training class in July 2022. We had our first on-boarding call which we went over expectations of the class and homework due dates which are very important to online critique calls that we have on Wednesdays. If the students does not submit their homework one time, there is no work to critique. ***** continued to have excuses on why she could not submit her homework on-time. Things such as family emergencies and lack of technology kept coming up week after week. Our 12 week program is very intensive and requires active participation by both parties. I gave ***** 2 buffer weeks to catch up and she still didn't turn in her assignments that she promised to do. She continued to email saying she would turn them in but did not. I have a strict schedule that I go by because I have other students to teach and train and tried my best to be there for ***** but she did not submit work on-time. I responded to her emails but the constant lateness was becoming overwhelming and interfering with others who were completing the work. All of the classwork need to be done in order to be eligible to take the practical exam which is laid out in our welcome email attached and discussed during the on-boarding and critique calls. If you cannot finish the theory portion, I can not give nor grant you certification to just go out here and tattoo on a person's face without seeing progress. No clients should have been scheduled until certification is given because that would qualify the student to perform the service properly and safely. ***** completed 79% of the online course but has numerous outstanding assignments missing. Our training program is based online and me showing up weekly for Q & A sessions and homework critiques only. Zoom calls where rescheduled twice due to scheduling conflicts but always made up and extra help was given on select Sundays in which she never showed up for. ***** continued to make excuses throughout the program and has to take responsibility in her role as a student. Unfortunately, we cannot grant ***** a full refund based on student negligence. ***** logged into online portal 31 times, complete 79% of the online theory (Last login was Oct. 28th) and showed up for 4 out of 12 zoom calls. ***** also completed 79% of the online theory portion. ***** was sent a full Microblading Kit ($500.00 Value) and had complete access to my intellectual property which allowed her to download videos and guides in which she was still learning up until 10/28/22. ***** was offered additional help to complete the course by this month but refused and opted for a refund. I'm willing to refund her 21% for the cost of the course that she did not complete minus the cost of the Microblading Kit that she received by mail which included all of her materials and tools she needed to complete the program. The total cost was $3800 and a 21% refund is $798.00 - $500.00 (Microblading Kit) = $298.00 (Refund). Kechia ******
