    In March 2022, a neighbor of mine referred me to a carpenter who had done work for her. The referred business being DeGroff Custom Carpentry, **** Wind ****** ***** *********** ** XXXXX, at least this is what his business card says. The estimate states: DeGroff Carpentry, XXXXX Drill ***** ***** ********** ** XXXXX, phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX, email: *****************@gmail.com. We scheduled an appointment to view the wall at my home for the grid wall feature to be done. He said he can and would do the work. I gave a deposit via check for 1/3rd of the total ($650) and he would schedule me in April 2022. I have communicated several times via email to follow up and I keep getting excuses and scheduling promises, but no work has been started and it is now August 2022. I have requested return of my deposit and would file a complaint with BBB and submit Small Claims action, but it has not improved the situation. I want this resolved one way or the other-the work done or return of my deposit. However, since he is not compliant on any scheduling promises, a refund is the better solution to this situation.
