In mid-June 2023, I contacted ***********************, the business owner, and asked him to come pick up and repair my Cub Cadet lawn mower/tractor. It had a tire issue, and it would not start. I had done business for several years with ****. He came out promptly and picked up the mower. He stated that he performed repairs (Invoice #******). He returned the mower, and I paid him in full $313.34 for all repairs, tax, and transportation of the mower to and from his shop. I paid this payment at 11:24am on June 16, 2023, per invoice and credit card receipts he provided to me. **** advised me to mow the tall grass slowly, and I did so. The mower worked without a problem, and the tire retained its air. I did this mowing carefully, starting the day of or shortly after **** returned the mower and I paid him. I did not damage the mower or strike the tire or tire rim. When I went to mow the grass the next week, however, I discovered the tire was again flat, and I could not cut the grass. I called ****'s business and mobile numbers. The mobile number was forwarded to the business line. I called and left messages every day for five consequent days. I had to travel for ten or so days, and when I returned, I called again on two consequent days and left messages, asking **** to resolve the repair failure and, finallying, notifying him that I would seek redress and would contact my bank. I made my last call to **** on July 11, 2023. I never received ANY call back, and **** has made no attempt to correct the matter. **** charged me $99.66 ($40+35+24.66) for the tire repair; $60 for pick-up and delivery; and $8.68 in tax. I also have had to contact another repair service, and their estimated charges will be $200 to do the repairs I paid **** to do. I am seeking a $134 refund and a $200 reimbursement from ****/Small Engine Repair for the tire repair charges and half of the transportation and tax (collectively, $134); and the charges of the other repair service.
