    In December 2023, I brought my late mother's ***** Miata to Capital Transmission for an estimate on replacing her damaged convertible top and paintwork. The owner, ****, provided an estimate of $4,913.14 and assured me his shop could handle the top replacement. I informed him of my mother's recent passing and the sensitive nature of the repair.I mistakenly revealed that I had already received an insurance check, leading **** to request a $2,000 deposit. I paid $1,600 in total. Upon returning on December 23rd, I found ****** staff unhelpful, a flat tire with a nail, and poor workmanship, including painting over the windshield wiper nozzle and leaving debris around the gas cap.When I received the car, I noticed a gap in the convertible top and was told it needed to stay up to stretch. The top was poorly aligned, and **** struggled with it, acting rudely when questioned. Despite knowing about my right shoulder disability, he did not address the issues properly.I reported the poor workmanship to my insurance adjuster, who confirmed the job was subpar. I had to take the car to ***** in *********, **, where they found missing components and performed a water test, revealing leaks due to the absence of a rain rail. I filed a new insurance claim, costing me an additional $1,900, including a $500 deductible. I also paid to fix a loose bumper.Despite paying Capital Transmission $4,913.14, I incurred further costs of $1,900. The poor quality of work and dishonesty have caused significant financial and emotional distress. I request a refund of $6,500 to cover these additional expenses and the inconvenience caused.
