On 11 Jan 2023, my 2014 ***** ********* broke down in Hyattsville Md. I had my insurance co. tow service take it to the closest AAMCO because I knew that the transmission was the issue and because AAMCO has a lot of locations. AAMCO told me that they could put in a rebuilt transmission with a 2 year/24k mile warranty for approx $6,600.00, which i paid them 3300.00 on the 11th and the remaining balance of 3270.84, total of $6570.80 on 17 Jan 2023 when I picked up the truck. The transmission started having issues, so I took it by the AAMCO near my house, after a test drive they told me that the torque converter was going bad; however, AAMCO had a rule that if the work was done within a 40 mile radius, then i had to take it back to the other shop. Of course, the AAMCO on Annapolis Road, never told me nothing about the 40 or 50 mile radius or provided me any documentation other than a receipt and invoice reflecting "reman transmission with remain torque Converter" and 24 month/24k warranty. On Monday, 13 Feb I dropped off the truck at the AAMCO on Annapolis road, and they called me and I picked it up on Thursday, and asked them what was wrong with it and what did they do to it, also requested documents to show that work. ****** told me they fixed it, refused to give me any kind of documentation or tell me what work was done. He stated that AAMCO would charge them 150.00 if they provided me with documents. I also talked with an individual at AAMCO, (********) phone: ###-###-#### consumer support about this, and she informed me that they lubricated something. As of today, 22 Feb 2023 the truck is still having issues with the transmission. This is the 2nd time AAMCO has worked on this transmission, in Dec 2021, AAMCO, Plano, TX rebuild it. DESIRED OUTCOME: That AAMCO allow me to take the truck to the AAMCO by my house and get the transmission fixed correctly, because it is obvious that this location does not know what they are doing.

Aamco recieved my truck about 2 months ago after caliber collision repaired the body . I chose to have aamco look over my truck to tell me what was the problem with the drive . They told me that the transmission was the only problem. Up until yesterday my truck leaked off alot of transmission fluid and the gears weren't catching at all . Aamco told me the fluid is coming from an AC condenser line and once again thats withe problem. I was talked to disrespectfully and denied the executive bosses information. I was told to have a nice day without knowing what will happen to my truck and they proceeded to hag up on me . I do not believe aamco did everything they were suppose to , scamming my insurance out of alot of money . Liberty mutual paid them to fix whatever was wrong

The communication here is lacking severely. Worker Nick T******* is very rude and demeaning. When told *** would tow my vehicle to them, my husband was told that AAMCO would do it. No fees were mentioned. When we went to pick up the vehicle the morning of October 20, 2022 after my husband spoke to George  again and was told there would be no fees, we were told to pay $150 tow fee to get my vehicle back. When questioned, Nick slammed a paper firm and yelled that we just had to pay it. When we requested paper showing mention of “fees”, we were again met with hostility by Nick. This went on for some time. I wouldn’t trust these people. They are not honest and rude. We paid the $150 “under protest” (written on receipt) just to get my vehicle returned to me as they said this was the only way. There was no verbal or written contract stating there would be a tow fee or fee of any kind. The only payment discussed was quote for work on transmission. I wouldn’t pay them to tie my vehicle when I have *** to tow my car for free wherever I need. I want my $150 returned as the business was very dishonest.

    Hi,

************** was I formed that if no work was done that he would owe us $150 for the tow. No business can simply tow vehicles in if no work is performed. This is just common sense!
