On June 11, 2024 I went in to this dental place as a NEW client for a routine cleaning. Once I was there the dentist looked at my teeth and stated I needed a deep cleaning. I asked if this was covered by my insurance and he insisted it was and that it was necessary. The dentist stated it is a more in-depth cleaning. He booked a following appointment on June 25, 2024 which to do one side and come back for a second appointment on July 2nd plus filling a cavaity that came out due to the deep cleaning. I paid up front a copay for both services on both days and was informed that was all I had to pay. After I received a bill for $575.00 in August, when I called the dentist office I was informed my insurance did not cover the service and I would have to pay out of pocket. I contacted my insurance and they stated for higher medical procedures it is best to get prior authorization because they denied the claims. The dentist office never contacted my insurance for prior authorization the week between the first appointment on June 11th to June 25th when the Dentist told me it was medically necessary for a deep cleaning rather than a routine cleaning. Now I have an outstanding balance and when I tried to contact them to speak to the dentist I kept getting the run around of someone calling me to address my concerns. Until this day it took multiple trips to the dental office to get my dental records to try and appeal the decision to deny my medical claims. I reached out to the dentist office to have the dentist appeal my claims, I was told the only HR person works remotely and she only is available by email. To this day she was supposed to reach out to come to an understanding about this outstanding bill and I have not received an email or phone call from the office. This is not the first time this happened. There are multiple ****** reviews saying the samething after I left a review.
