My gas stove with an electric panel to operate stopped working after I finished cooking. The electrical LED functions went blank & lost all power. However the gas range top with electrical igniter which is seperate from oven still worked. With my limited experience, I assumed it was a fuse or the power supply. I decided to call UN-Reliable Repairs for a supposable expert diagnosis for $69. The whom I believe to be of Pakistani origin technician came through my garage, saw my motorcycles & bicycles & I believe this may have enhance his decision to price gouge me. I told the Tech my opinion & with a funny look, he said why would you think that? & asked if I checked the breaker box. I said no because the range still ignites but you know better than me seeing as how your an UN-Expert. He then calls whom I believe to be his father & the whole time hes in the house, never speaks one word of English on the phone. While in the basement he saw my expensive Road Bike & says, Is that yours too? Then he checks the Breaker Box & all is fine. He then opens the oven door, LOOKS inside & writes up a quote of $489 parts & labor & tells me they can fix it in 2 days after they order parts. With a puzzled look... I ask, so what's the problem? With a straight face, He tells me the control panel is bad. The whole 20 minutes he was in my house, he was on the phone & never used any tool or diagnostics machine, never checked internal fuse or anything. After the tech left, I decided to take the control panel off with 4 screws, tested the fuse with an Ohm Meter, & guess what? The fuse was bad. On Amazon, the fuse cost me $18. I installed it in 5 minutes & my stove works as good as new. Thanks to a youtube video!!!!
