I recently hired Finney Brothers company to perform my master bathroom remodel. The job is considered done now, but I am very unhappy with the work that was performed. I have reached out to Matt to have my final walk-through to fix all these problems (there are a list of about 15 issues) but he yet to have a date set to do so. I figured I would reach out to the owners of this company and never even received a response back which is awful business etiquette . I also had them “fix” the ceiling in my dining room because there was a leak while they were doing the plumbing and it is less than satisfactory. My house was a filthy construction zone for almost a month and it still disgustingly dirty because of the “cleaning crew” they sent over here which consisted of one lady did a horrendous job. I refuse to spend another penny on this job and I want everything fixed that has been done incorrectly. As an LLC you are supposed to have a written contract and I never had such a thing. Never in a million years would I recommend this company and Im extremely disappointed that I chose them for lack of professional and quality of work. Attached are just a few of all the issues i have with the (finished product)

Plan has been set in place for all issues regarding the project to be corrected. Homeowner prefers to wait until work is completed to close complaint.

I went into a contract with Finney Brothers for work that was to be started on February 17, and to be completed February 25 with a walkthrough on February 26. The work was for remodeling of a kitchen and bathroom and replacing flooring on second floor. The work was not complete and two more days were granted by me with each day being an additional 10-12 hours of work. The work was still not complete. They did not complete the work, the work was substandard, and they caused additional damage. They also purchased products that were not the ones agreed on and were cheaper. I agreed to let them come back and complete the work with a list of requirements, which included an itemized list of everything that was to be completed, with a description of how and the dates. I also required that they complete the additional work by March 22 as my dog was getting surgery. Finally during the time they were doing the work they had to pay for kenneling my dogs since the additional day were 100% their fault. Matt *****, their contract manager, agreed with these stipulations. However, later they backtracked on many of these and kept coming up with ways to avoid and delay the work and then tried to deflect the delays on me for being difficult.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, although we're disheartened to hear about your recent experience with our company.
We understand that there may have been aspects of your interaction with our service that left you dissatisfied. While we always aim to meet and exceed our customers' expectations, it seems we fell short of achieving that in your case. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to provide an amazing remodeling experience for our customers with a commitment to our core values such as honesty, integrity, and communication.
However, upon reviewing the details of your experience, we feel compelled to address certain points. We agreed to a full remodel of your kitchen and bathroom, along with the installation of over 400 sq. ft. of flooring/trim between 3 bedrooms and a hallway on the 2nd floor of your home. The '10 day project' timeline was requested from you due to your specific needs of having yourself and your pets to be outside of the home during the remodeling process that typically takes 3 weeks at minimum to complete. We agreed to the requested timeline and worked continuously from Saturday to Sunday, 8+ hours a day to complete the projects and unfortunately, we missed our mark and did not complete the projects in the timeline you requested. In addition to not completing the projects in the agreed upon timeline, we absolutely made mistakes and certainly did not provide our best craftsmanship or the quality of work that you paid for. Since the moment the unsatisfactory work was brought to our attention we have promised to right our wrongs and provide a different installation team to come back after the replacement for damaged products have been delivered and when we can dedicate the appropriate amount of time to focus on your project continuously until you are satisfied with the final result at zero additional cost to you. We have not been able to come to an agreement because you are refusing to allow us to return and complete the tasks due to us not covering the cost of the kennel fees for your pets during that process. We agree that the work is unsatisfactory and we have never claimed that we will not return to complete the projects with the quality that you paid for but covering the cost for your pets to be in a kennel during that process is simply unreasonable and extends far beyond the agreed upon scope of work. I understand you are suggesting that Matt agreed to paying for the kennel fee's however that simply is not true nor is Matt authorized to make those decisions without first consulting one of the owners. If you have documentation stating otherwise I urge you to please provide it. This is not a matter of Finney Brothers refusing to correct the subpar work but more a matter of you agreeing to have let us come correct the issue's.

Nonetheless, we genuinely value your feedback and take it as an opportunity to learn and improve. We would appreciate the chance to show the true Finney Brother's standard that we have provided for so many of our amazing customers and we genuinely hope we can come to an agreement soon. We have apologized many times as well as tried correcting the addressed issue's however Finney Brothers will not be posting an apology on our website, that is very unreasonable to demand to say the least.

In conclusion, unfortunately we missed our mark on this project and did not represent the core values that we stand behind but please refer to the overwhelming amount of positive reviews from the customers that put their trust in Finney Brother's Contracting in hopes that we can gain your trust and confidence back to resolve the remaining tasks. We thank you for choosing Finney Brother's and wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
    Sincerely,
    Management

I am not sure why the case was closed. I have not responded to the business response. No resolution has been made and the business did not respond to all complaints in the original complaint. However, the business is trying to negotiate a resolution but because it has not been resolved the case should remain open.
