I entered into contract with Elmar services July 31st 2023-August 2nd 2023 for the installation of a ductless HVAC system. The scope of the work was initially discussed in a quote from 2018. A revised quote was provided for that same scope for approximately $14,000. I made a deposit of approximately $4000. I was there for the first two days of installation but was not able to be there for the third day. I let the technicians know that before they left on the second day. Just the last line had to be installed, they had done good work so far. They were supposed to run the line from the first bedroom up into the attic space, down into the back bedroom and out the back bedroom wall. I left work early to meet the technician, inspect the work and pay the balance. On my way there I got a call asking for payment of the balance. I told them I had to inspect the installation before I paid the balance. When I got home I found that they had run the line from the front bedroom up into the attic space and out through the roof, then down the back wall. I asked them to reroute the line and patch the hole in the roof. What they had done was not what we had discussed. Only after they did that would I pay the balance. They refused. They said the job was done. Recent talks with them found us still in the same deadlock. I refuse to pay till they reroute the line. They refuse to do any additional work till I pay the balance. Although they have come down to me just paying 90% off what remains. They have threaten legal action through a certified letter from a paralegal, that they never pursued. They have accused me of all kinds of duplicity and shady motives. All before fixing the problem. The roof now leaks and the system hasnt worked in months. Still they refuse.

I had a new heat pump installed in April 2023. The existing line run under my patio. They cut the line outside and buried it and cut the line inside my basement. They ran new lines. They used spray insulation in the basement around the old line and bent and crimped the copper tube. It is now Jan 2024 and we have very heavy rain. I have water pouring in my basement around in from the copper tube. I called right away to be told the PA office had closed and the location in MD could do nothing. First, I was never notified this office was closing. 2nd I am still under warranty. The office in MD said they had no one to send. He took my name but I have heard nothing. This was never an issue in my basement. I spent $8000 for this job, I have no warranty and no one to fix the issue. This is not right.

HVAC installed May 24 2022, I'm pretty sure the installers damaged the equipment during the install. Christian and a ******** looking man came to install in the morning. They went to lunch and when they came back, Christian said something about his partner not remembering if he took a part out or not. On May 31, I had to contact them because the temp was set at 69 and only cooling to 74 degrees. They came out June 3 to fix it, then again June 8. Water was dripping from my living room dinning room area. In all they came out 10 or 11 times, last time in August to fix it for sure. I hadn't needing AC in the fall or winter but the first time I used it in the humidity this year it flooded my house. Ceiling damaged and floors warped. I've asked for them to remove and give me my money back. The AC had NEVER worked. I called to speak with the owner, but they refuse to give me his name for contact info. I'm very unpset it cost me $6720 and I haven't been able to use it last summer or this summer. I'm sure the owner is nice and cool without damage to his home.
