    On the evening of Saturday, June 15, 2024 my family headed to the Benjgies drive-in movie theater to see inside Out 2. By the time we reached the box office, it was dark. The lady who took our money, told us we had to turn off all of our lights, including daytime, running lights. She went so far as to reach into the vehicle and start hitting the buttons to turn off the daytime running lights. She then told us to follow the car in front of us. (In the dark). We did so, and as we came around the second turn, we were then told by someone to follow the parking attendant with the blue flashlight who was some 50 or so feet in front of us. We did so we had our car window down and we were listening for instructions, which we didnt really hear much, but we saw him waving the flashlight for us to come forward. Come forward come forward. We followed and came forward until he directed us into one of their metal posts. we were shocked. I think he was shocked because he came down and inspected the post and didnt care about our vehicle. After he got us parked, he left and came back to our vehicle and told us that he spoke to management and they would take care of it. He mentioned that he had to collect some information, because it was policy. He took photos of our vehicle, license plate, name, insurance info and then disappeared. He never came back. We werent able to collect information about their insurance. When we reached out the next day to find out how they intended to handle it, they responded via email telling us it was our fault and they werent going to do a thing and they collected our information in case they need to file a claim against us. I did call my insurance company, but I told them it was not our fault. Their Traffic Director sent us into the post. The business doesnt have a way to leave a message and honestly I have been posting negative ******** and Instagram Stories about them. To try to get them to do the right thing. repair estimate is >$1400.

    We were contacted by this person's insurance Company, We were asked if we had any property damage, to which we said "NO". In a further contact with the ****************** we were asked about responsibility.  I found this unusual, because we were not driving the car. As I spoke to the claims ***, I said that in the state of ********, the driver is solely responsible and they agreed. I then Asked the agent if we could put in a counter-claim with ********, because this person was going ALL OVER THE INTERNET accusing us of wrong doing, and we will need to hire an attorney to pursue these unfounded remarks,  There as SO MANY postings in just about every place these people could post, it is still happening.  This claim against us at the BBB is also part of their extraordinary pursuit to make us the bad guy, So we will be pursuing this person through ******** insurance company within the same claim number to pursue our damages.

    happening.  This claim against us at the BBB is also part of their extraordinary pursuit to make us the bad guy, So we will be pursuing
    this person through our attorney and will be submitting damages to ******** insurance company within the same claim number to pursue this person's TOTALLY unfounded remarks. We will also restrict the entire family from ever entering the Bengies Drive-In Theatre, and I am happy to be able to make this part of the record, so that if this person or ANY member of their Family is caught on our property, they have been warned here and they will be trespassing.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    My family cane to the drive in , in good faith. We were told in explicit terms that all the lights in our vehicle had to be turned off and that an attendant would direct us. We followed these instructions. As we made a turn the attendant was at least 4 car lengths away guiding us with an illuminated blow light. The attendant allowed us to hit the pole in the bengies parking lot causing damage to our vehicle. If our lights were allowed to be on, we never would have hit the post. The attendant employed by bengies was negligent. Yes we have been posting on social media to make others aware of this negligence. It would cost bengies much more money to hire an attorney that to just rectify their mistake which damaged our vehicle. That is all we are asking for, fix our vehicle and I promise any mention of your business will stop.

    I find it amazing that these folks just do not understand,as per their insurance provider, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. No matter what this person is insisting upon, use of Parking lights IS permitted, we restrict all WHITE lighting.  That being said, please note, these folks ARE accusing us of negligence, and if this were at all true,the insurance company would be coming after us. The insurance company has agreed to that we are not responsible.  PLEASE NOTICE that these folks are admitting to continuous posting of something that is NOT TRUE, and further, they are USING EXTORTION to try to get us to pay for damages for which we are in NO WAY responsible.  This is backed by Maryland law and by their insurance company.We will use this ADDITIONAL wording rejecting my response to their unfounded and completely false claim, as well as the original complaint to pursue our rights to protect our reputation, that these people have OPENLY admitted to diminishing AND WILL CONTINUE to diminish until we pay them their "BLACKMAIL"  ("fix our vehicle and I promise any mention of your business will stop)  These folks would need to PROVE we are at fault before they can ever do what they are doing to go out of their way to punish us for something we did not do, as well as what they continue to do to damage the reputation of our business, INCLUDING filing this false report to the Better Business Bureau. We WILL be pursuing our rights directly and we intend for these people to pay us for what we have to do because they are doing the wrong thing, KNOWING they are doing the wrong thing.
