Platinum Towing and Recovery is partaking in deceptive, unfair, or abusive practices by unlawfully repossessing my vehicle over an alleged debt and denying me access to retrieve my personal belongings after the fact. My car has been unlocked and opened and I have private financial information as well as PII that has been exposed as a result of this repossession, this leaves me susceptible to theft- identity theft, fraud, and the unauthorized access and potential use of my personal and private information. The company has no reason or right to enter the vehicle and violate my privacy nor do they have the right to prevent me from gathering my belongings. I have medication in there that they have stolen and prevented me from taking as a result of their unlawful actions as well, causing me substantial harm. This company's actions have caused me serious injury.

This Repossession was sent to us from ****** through ****** on 5/29. The car was repossessed on 5/30. We had NO ACCCESS to this car. It came to our lot and sat in the same spot. The owner picked up property on 6/11 and signed for property. We could not access anything until she brought us keys to get in the car (Then We clean it out and take her the property). Prior to receiving it she was complaining about everything and saying she will be missing things. She signed for it and left. Later called and said everything was in the vehicle. The vehicle is still on our lot until Carmax has it transported.

I am rejecting this response because: my car was unlocked prior to me picking up my property or bringing a key as evidenced by the screenshot taken on June 2nd. Furthermore, the person who brought my things stated that this company hires a locksmith and the locksmith assists with accessing vehicles so they dont damage the cars for reselling. When I asked why a locksmith was needed he stated, to get inside the car I then asked why I needed to bring a key. He shook his head and raised his arms in as if to say, I dont know. There are witnesses to this conversation and This conversation happened in front of the ring camera of this establishment. My vehicle was accessed prior to my bringing a key which means mine and my childrens PII was exposed as well as the policy of having someone remove my property from the vehicle exposes my PII and is a HIPAA violation. I did call back to ensure that my parking pass was removed but I have not confirmed that all of my property was recovered.

      Sincerely,

      Tashanaye ******

The last six digits of my VIN is ******. My vehicle was towed on December 12, 2023 from my residence. I picked up my vehicle on December 14, 2023.Immediately, as my vehicle came out the gate and I walked around it to get in I noticed visible damage to my vehicle. I was the last one to drive and park my vehicle the night of December 12, 2023. My vehicle is brand new with no damages. Hence why I noticed the damage right away. I immediately notify ****** (Supervisor) of my findings. He was professional and explained to me the process of contacting my financial company. I did just that and sent pictures of the damage. Now the financial company is instructing me to contact the towing company to file a claim. I do understand accidents happen. I would like this to be resolved fairly. I called the towing company on 01/04/2024. I spoke with ****** again and he provided me the email to send a detail message and it will be taken care of via email. I emailed on 01-04-2024, 01-16-2024, 01-29-2024, 02-06-2024 and 03-08-2024. At this time I haven't received any responses from the company. I tried to call and get the voicemail. Please advise on the next steps and/or if you need any additional information. I appreciate your time and assistance.
