Does not screen applicants the way other private schools do. No shadow day offered, rather, the application was accepted, and payment for enrollment was accepted. I spoke with the director and shared my child's profile verbally. Upon scheduling a school visit, I showed up with my student (and indicated in advance that I would be doing so) in order to tour the school. We were not screened, nor did we have the opportunity to meet any of the teachers or administrators - we met the secretary. My child's paperwork was passed to another parent who was employed as a part-time school therapist (while also being a customer) and communication was managed horribly. I was directed to communicate with the school via the therapist, and required to pay the therapist $3k to support a "behavior plan" that the school director said she had not seen or reviewed. Horrible handling a student and terrible communication. This is likely a lovely school for neurotypical children, however it is not equipped to handle (or even properly screen for intake) children with any extra needs. It should be illegal for a parent to become the "school therapist" working 11 hours per week in order to receive a discount on tuition for her own children. For the school to require families to work with said therapist at private pay (when student need outstrips therapist's work availability) is highly questionable practice.
