      I agreed to a payment plan with ********************** for a bill I don't remember from *************************************************************************** 2022. I didn't want my credit ruin, so instead of fighting, I agreed to make payments until the bill was paid. I was making payments through their billing company Meridian ********************* I overpaid my account. I have been trying to recoup my overpayment since January 2024. I started over paying September 2023 and made the last overpayment February 5, 2024. The reason I overpaid is because I had the payments set up on bill pay from my account. When I realize that I had overpaid, I contacted Meridian *************** and was told that they no longer bill for *********************. The new company is **************. I contacted ************** who stated they have no record of my account number ************. At this point I'm being bounced between the two billing agencies with no success and no refund. I was sent a billing statement from Meridian showing my overpayment but they stated they don't keep the money, it is forwarded to Diagnostic Image they have to give me back my money. Everyone I speak with cannot help me (***** & ****** of Meridian Billing) ********, *******, ******* and more with Luminis but no one can help me. I'm just getting the run around. BBB, I will be so grateful if you would please help me get my money back. I'm on a fixed income, don't have money to give away and need all my income for other things. Thank you in advance for you help

      This patient is correct in that she is due a refund and also in the fact that we no longer are the billing company for ***********************; the accounting and billing was moved in house and is now being taken care of by Luminis Health.  However, the patient is incorrect in stating that she is being bounced around by 2 billing companies.   We are actually going the extra mile for the patient and working on her behalf behind the scenes to get her the refund she is owed.  We also gave all of this patients' information to the hospital so they can contact her to let her know when they are sending out the refund.  This is out of Meridian's hands as of February 2023, as Luminis Health took everything in house.   The patient can contact **** ****** at ************ for the status of her refund, in the meantime we have emailed **** on her behalf.

      That is true that Meridian has been trying to help me. When I say I'm being bounced around is because Luminus tell me to contact Meridian and vice versa. In so doing I'm getting no resolution. I will reach out to the number provided for **** ****** on 3/15/2024 and give an update. I appreciate your assistance BBB. I will let you know what happens. Please do not close the case for the issue is not resolved.

      I reached out to **** ****** at the number provided ************ on yesterday and today. I left message and no response as of yet. This is the same type of communication I've been getting. Either number with answer machines and no return calls or a **************** that will refer me to ********************** because they have no information about the account. When I contact Meridian I'm told the account have been turned over to Luminus. I believe Meridian have been trying to help me and I appreciate that very much but Diagnostic Imaging received the money through their at the time **************** Meridian and should return the refund to me. No one has contacted me in reference to the refund and I can't seem to speak with anyone who is concerned about the refund except Meridian.

      First and foremost, Meridian DID NOT receive any money from patients or insurance companies as their billing company, all funds went directly to ************************    Therefore, we do not have any Diagnostic Imaging funds to refund to you, which is why we have forwarded all patients to ****. You can try her email - at ************************** Other than that, and emailing and calling **** also to no avail, I am not sure what else you expect from us, as we have not been their billing company since February of 2023.

      For clarification purposes, my complaint was not intended to be towards ************, my complaint was against ******************. Please let it be known that ******** tried very diligently to assist me. I'm thankful for their help and they are correct in what they say. Please revise the complaint to be against ***********************. Once I receive the refund from **** ****** of Luminas, I will agree to close the case. It had been very difficult to contact **** ****** but I did finally got a chance to speak with her and she advised that a check will be placed in the mail to me. I'm now waiting to see if that's true and I receive the check.

      I'm content that the case has been closed. I received a check yesterday, 3/27/2024 in the amount of my refund $259.02. Thank you most grateful BBB for your assistance in resolving this Matter. Case Closed.
