    I'd like to share my experience with Manoly Furniture Services which is purportedly in **********, Md although there are other, out-of-state addresses with the same name. I contacted this business to refinish a 6-piece kitchen set (all wood)--a pedestal table and 5 chairs. When the set was picked up, I was told that the job would likely take 3 weeks. Then various excuses started with a variety of reasons as to why there would be delays, none of which were ever resolved. (The pickup was August 6, 2024.) When I made inquiries, I was given a **** reply asking if I was going to question everything. After weeks of waiting and asking for progress reports, I was finally told that "Unfortunately" my furniture could not be refinished at all. I requested that it be returned and again, there were more delays. I finally received it back--with absolutely no work done on it-- on October 9, 2024, a full 2 months later, after it apparently languished in a workshop somewhere--the furniture was quite dirty, with a gray/black powdery grime covering it. When I inquired as to why my deposit reimbursement was $100 less than I had paid, the written reply began with "Cut me an f'ing break..." I subsequently sent the business numerous e-mails indicating that I would return the erroneous check as soon as I received a check for the full amount of my deposit. I am submitting this because I'd like to share my experience so other consumers can take it into account when deciding on a furniture refinishing business.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Response is an automatic reply, the same one I received when I contacted the business recently.  After months of delays and disappointments with this business, it has not repaid my full deposit after returning my untouched furniture--which this business took from my home promising a professional refinishing job.  The business did nothing at all.  I want my full deposit returned.
