On 1/13/2023 Triple A came out to perform leak detection at my residence. Upon arrival, I was told the fee would be between $600-$800 and I was asked how I would like to pay. I was not told of this fee prior. I had even spoken to the owner, Andre L**** earlier in the week to schedule the appointment and specifically asked if there was a fee and I was told, "don't worry about it." Since I wasn't told of a fee prior to their arrival they agreed to perform the service for $500 but I could only pay by cash or check. I paid them via check. Triple A found the leak was between the curb stop and the meter. I submitted their report, along with photos I took to ** *****. On 2/14/23 ** ***** disagreed with the findings from Triple A. ** ***** suggested we schedule an appointment where both they and Triple A could be there. On 2/28/23 Both ** ***** and Triple A did an inspection and both determined I no longer had a leak. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY WORK / REPAIRS DONE. The 1st week in March, ** ***** replaced my meter as a precaution. In April 2023, the leak returned. ** ***** came back out on 5/11/23 and 5/17/23 and determined there is an underground leak was present but maintained (since January) it is on the private side and not between the curb stop and meter as Triple A has indicated. 6/16/23 ** ***** conducted an in-ground inspection and insists (as they have since December 2022) the leak is beyond the curb stop, on the private side and not between the curb stop and the meter as Triple A stated. I then text ad emailed Mr. L**** requesting either a refund of the $500 or to set up another meeting with ** ***** as the leak is currently active. I never received a response.

      Date: 10/06/2023

In regards to this incident in question,

On 1/13/2023, we were contacted by Mrs. ****** stating she needed locating services.

I am not sure of the confusion about pricing but she was aware the service was not free, we did want to work with her so that's why we agreed to take the pay cut and agreed to $500.00.

There was no leak determined by Triple A or WSSC on this day.  She then asked us to meet the water company on site on a later day 2/28/23, My locator and the other company agreed there was no leak, we came out the second time free of charge.

After the other company replaced the water meter, shortly after is when the leak occurred.  I don't think that should fall  under Triple A to have to refund her money back when we came to the job site multiple times per her request and only charged her for our first initial time we came there and the leak happened after the meter was placed which we had nothing to do with.
