  Dont waste your money. Our experience with Nikita was unfortunately disappointing. 1. If I was to summarize my experience I would say that we felt abandoned and un-prioritized. It seems as if Nikita takes on allot of birthing opportunities and did not have the staff or the ability to attend to us as we expected. This was our first child. And we really wanted support but our meetings with Nikita were rescheduled 2-3 times. 2. Communication was pretty poor. When we had a Concern or question response took 12 -24 hours. She communicate best only to reach out to receive payment and inform us that if payment isn’t received she will change and extra $100 a day even tho we were never late. 3. Our purchased package included Nikita to labor at home with us to prepare for the hospital and the birth, a week before our birth Nikita had a family situation which took her out the office and we were only informed us via email blast that she would not be available indefinitely. We completely understand that family situations happen and we empathize with her situation. However She had told us that there would be a “Back up Doula” which never reached out to us and when we reached out to her/she we got no response. Nervous and anxious my wife went into labor and we had no support we were alone. I reached out to Nikita and she said she would try to come to the hospital, unfortunately by the time she arrived the birth was 95% complete. What upset me most is that the birth plan we went through none of it was done, Nikita never advocated on our behalf, and didn’t even come prepared with the birth plan, she asked me if I had it. To make it worse Nikita’s package includes 2 hours of post birth service in the hospital and she left after 45 minutes. 4. Lastly Another service we paid for is a post delivery follow up at our home a week after delivery. As I’m writing this today our child is almost 6 weeks Old and Nikita has rescheduled this follow up 3 times and we have no heard from her since.

  I had a wonderful experience with DMV Birth Doulas especially the owner, Nikita. I hired her for Birth Doula Services, for my late June birth and I must say, Nikita worked tirelessly to ensure I got the birth of my dreams. She coordinated our in-home childbirth education classes, came to help out in labor at home when my baby was sunny side up (although it was too early for doula support and hospital transfer). Postpartum entailed two visits of care for our newborn, myself, and the rest of our family. I'll forever be grateful for Nikita.

  Nikita is preying on women at such a vulnerable time in their lives. She is unethical and unprofessional. After finding this company online, I booked a consultation appointment and paid the required fee. On the day of the appointment however, Nikita did not show up and instead, texted me asking if we could move the appointment to four hours later. I agreed to the new time. When the new appointment time arrived, Nikita never showed up to the appointment. She did not email, call or text me. The following day I asked for a refund because the services I paid for had not been rendered. I followed up a second time and was ignored. When I expressed my disappointment on their Instagram page, I was promptly blocked. Having expertise in a particular area, doesn’t mean that you have a great customer service and I believe that that’s the case with this particular business. I am thankful that I did not purchase a package and that the red flags were very apparent from the beginning. Otherwise, I would’ve been out of a lot of money and would suffered a lot of heartache and stress during a sacred time (i.e pregnancy). To date, I haven’t heard from Nikita, nor anyone else from this business, and I never received the refund. Please read all the reviews and proceed with caution.
