In March I had my property treated for termites to prepare my home for sale. I advised the tech who treated me home in March and another employee (***) via email in April that the property ownership was about to transfer. I was never advised of any continued billing that would occur. April and May I was charged $36 for monthly termite treatment which I didnt agree to. My contract states continued protection Brody Brothers will extend service annually to the customer for $36 per month. However, nowhere does it state that I, the customer, agree to continued or extended treatment.I called the office and spoke with ****** on June 4. They forwarded my complaint to their supervisor *******. ******* emailed me June 8 advising I would continue being charged for the remainder of the 12 month period unless I reached out to the new owner and had them take on the charges. I responded with a copy of my contract and stated that although the contract provides for how much continued treatment would cost, it does not state treatment would continue. Again, I spoke with several employees and was never advised of continued costs. I also left a ****** review and advised my realtor of my experience as she was the one who referred Brody Brothers to me. The resolution I am seeking is to not be charged for treatment I didnt agree to on a property I no longer own. It would be idea if I could be refunded the 72 dollars that have been billed to me since Ive sold the property.Business Response

I contacted Ms. ****** this morning June 11th and let her know we were refunding the payments she made in May and June totaling $72 as well as cancelling her contract. The only open item is the retrieval of the termite stations which we are scheduling for the week ofJune 16th. No action is needed by Ms. ****** other than to let the new home owners know we will be out that week for the retrieval.
Thank you,

Signed up as a new customer with ********************************************* based on their good online reviews. Service was performed by young technicians on 4/27. Immediately upon departure of the technicians, I noticed a significant and deep scratch over one foot long on newly finished hardwood floors. This scratch occurred directly in the area where the technicians were working around our dishwasher. I informed the company within 5 minutes of my discovery of the issue, and the same technicians returned back and apologized. A few days later another field manager came and inspected the damage and apologized, informing me they would reach out with resolution. Shortly after, I received a call denying liability and that they would not resolve the damage they caused on our hardwood floor.Business Response

On 3/27/25 two field technicians performed an initial pest service at Mr. ****** home. The service included treating the kitchen where they removed the lower access panel of the dishwasher to inspect for pest activity under the dishwasher. The technicians also left snap traps under the stove however they did not move the stove.
The customer called our office that afternoon stating there was a large scratch on the floor by the dishwasher after the technicians left. Our office called the customer back to gather more details about the scratch. Our office then spoke to the technicians who said they did not move anything in the kitchen and only removed the lower access panel of the dishwasher while in the kitchen and reattached it before leaving. They also confirmed placing the access panel face down on the floor in front of the cabinets so that the flat side was on the floor.
We contacted the branch field supervisor to visit the home and look at the floor. The field supervisor visited on 4/1 and updated our office that he looked at the floor and took pictures of the floor. The field supervisor stated he did not think the damage was caused by technician visit on the 27th. We then contacted Mr. ***** to let him know we did not believe our technicians caused the scratch in the floor. .While in our customers homes, our technicians wear shoe covers to protect floors and carry a soft sided caddy and a smooth plastic tote to carry their supplies.

I am rejecting this response because: I in good faith have contracted with Brody Brothers Pest Control to provide needed extermination services. Brody Brothers has an excellent reputation and reviews for customer service and performance. Services rendered by Body Brothers have been professional and effective, and I desired to continue doing business with Brody Brothers. However, we had our floors finished at a cost of over $20,000 within the last year. I have evidence the scratch did not exist prior to their visit, I informed the office immediately of the issue within minutes of their departure from my home and as soon as I discovered the issue. No one else was present during this time, and the damage was a result of their negligence. The technician stated they may have had debris on their shoes that caused the problem. The field supervisor who came to visit, apologized for the issue and took a photo. At no time did they inspect or inquire further about the damage. The field technician was not there at the time of the damage, so is unqualified to make a decision as to their liability and fault. The cost to remedy the situation is likely below $500, and I am beyond disappointed in the lack of concern and total acceptance of liability of such a small and simple issue from Brody Brothers. I am not in the business of scamming extermination companies to repair floors that didn't need repair prior to their service. Attached is a photo of the area from the day before and after the damage.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. ************ sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the issue with your floor following our service on March 27th, 2025.I again want to assure you that we take all customer concerns seriously, and we are committed to resolving this matter in a fair and respectful manner.
After receiving your call about the floor, we immediately began to investigate the situation and contacted both technicians who visited your home. To address your concern further, we sent our branch field supervisor to your home on April 1st to inspect the damage. The supervisor noted that no damage was observed during the initial service, and based on the findings, we do not believe our actions led to the issue.
We understand the importance of maintaining your homes condition, and we take great care to protect our customers' property while providing our services. As mentioned previously, our technicians wear shoe covers and carry supplies in soft-sided caddies and smooth plastic totes to avoid any risk of scratching or damaging surfaces.
While we regret that this situation has caused you concern, after thorough review, we do not believe that our service was the cause of the floor scratch.

In late 2017, I contacted Brody Brothers for pest control services. The cost was $120 every three months. The company bills quarterly, as well as 3 months in advance, and a regular inspection is done each quarter. They did an initial inspection of the property in December of 2017, and provided me a report. The next inspection wasn't done until March 2018, at the END of the billing period. I continued the service for one more billing period, with no resolution to the issue. The next quarterly inspection wasn't done until mid-June 2018. There were also one or two additional visits DURING that six month period which were included in my contract. But the pest problem still persisted, so I cancelled my service in June. Despite cancelling the service, I continued to receive statements. I contacted the company by phone, and did not receive any more notices after September 2018. Fast forward to April 2022, and I suddenly begin receiving bills from the company again for services from almost 4 years earlier! I called the company and was told they would look into it. Since then, I have been receiving invoices almost weekly, both by mail and by email. I'm not sure if this is poor bookkeeping, or deliberate fraud, but I refuse to pay for services I never received 4 years ago. (Please see the attached statement from Brody Brothers. Dear Mr. *******,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I apologize for any miscommunication that may have happened in regards to the contract you had with us. As I understand, you wanted to end services with us, I do not see any record of that being communicated to our office. I do see that there was a 1 year agreement for the pest control services. It does appear that the contract was ended prior to the 1 year of service for non payment. The account then went into a collection status and services were terminated at that time. I do understand your frustration in this matter and due to age of this debt, we are going to credit the account to make the balance zero.
