I went to the establishment "we treat feet" for medical care of my right foot. My right foot was hurting, and I decided to make an appointment this December 2022. I had an x-ray examination of my foot December 2022, and was told that "nothing was wrong" by the physician at this *********** named "Dr. ******* I was never notified of my results like I was promised until I called the office 5 times leaving a Voicemail each day I called. Nobody would ever return my calls, and weeks went by. I was told that I could come in, and follow up. I returned to the office where yet another x-ray of my right foot was obtained in office. The x-ray was taken by the front desk receptionist (Illegal) and it was never actually read by a radiologist (also Illegal). Every exam with radiation is to be read by a radiologist especially when diagnosing broken bones. Unless the study is of dental work. I was told nothing was wrong again with my right foot, and that I could be administered a steroid shot in my right foot to suffice the pain. I had the shot. I was told to follow up in a few weeks. I followed up as my pain worsened I told Dr. ***** nothing was better. Eventually I had my appointment that was rescheduled 3 times at last minute, and after several attempted calls, where I was sent to voicemail, and days passed without a reply... I went in and was administered YET another xray (way too much radiation for a 26 year old female) and was told nothing was wrong with my foot again. I was administered another steroid shot this was shot 2/3. I requested to have an MRI... I went to advanced radiology where I had an MRI, and it showed a stress injury, stress fracture of the 3rd metatarsal, and also had a lot of bone marrow edema on my 1st, and 3rd metatarsal, abnormal healing and tiny cyst along my first toe. Therefore my foot was VERY MUCH SO INJURED. As a standard of practice any injury like this should be immediate medical boot or bracing for 6-8 weeks with repeat imaging to make sure the injury has healed and that it has not stressed worse. I was given yet another steroid shot that I was rejected the lot number, prescription number, or strength because they knew they had done wrong at this point. A steroid shot is never to be administered into a broken bone cavity. Instead I was told I needed orthotics which were over 700 dollars. I asked if a medical boot would help Dr. ***** told me NO. I was told that the orthotics were covered by my insurance 80 percent and the remaining balance was my duty to pay. He said this was my only option. I felt pressured to get the orthotics. I received a **** ***** later that was not the correct quote. I called and asked for billing to call be back about 20 times from the manager ***** *** was USELESS, UNHELPFUL AND NOT POLITE. Since I was told I could talk to ***** the other manager and she was in a meeting every day for 8 days straight from the hours of 8 am-5pm NOT TRUE (I was just being avoided.) I never have received a call from billing. I have a log of about 20 voicemails I've left with no reply. I never was able to schedule a follow up, or receive anymore care from "we treat feet" because nobody ever returned my voicemails or showed a further interest in my care. I went to another ** for a second opinion. I received a new MRI (8 months later after initial pain) with my new foot doctor *** repeated it, and since I was never properly treated Via a boot, injected incorrect shots into my broken bone, and mis-treated with my care at "we treat feet", it results in SURGERY. That could of been prevented had We treat feet done the standard practice of care required of any medical facility. I should not have to pay for the orthotics that I was quoted the incorrect price, I should not have to pay the ******, the shots, etc. I would not in a million years refer anyone to this practice. Due to their mistakes I will live a life of foot pain forever, and surgery that was not needed had they owned up to their many mistakes.

Orthotics were ordered sometime in April. The shipment finally arrived at the office of We Treat Feet and I paid for them a total of $70 on Sept 29,2022 and I was told they would be sent to me immediately at my new address ***** ****** **** ****** ********** ** XXXXX). As of this date (10/20/22) they have not been received. I have called often before having paid and was sometimes told they were waiting for a shipment. Most of the time my calls went to voice mail and were unanswered. My husband called yesterday and was told they would return his call when the responsible department returned from work. No such call has been received.
The problem is, I NEED these orthotics... My feet need them. I have PAID for them.

The orthotics that the patient ordered were an over the counter product and of a unique size for her foot.  There was a hiccup in our internal system that caused a delay in this matter and it was totally unacceptable on our part.  We apologized to the patient and were finally able to get her the proper size and an additional pair at no charge for our mistake.  The patient was shipped the two pairs and called with the tracking information that she could follow for receiving the product.  We have since implemented additional check points to prevent this from happening again to the best of our ability.
