    Provided $10K to the Aquest group for a lot lock in February of 2022. We decided to move forward with a different community and requested our money back via a lot lock addendum which was fully executed on 11/10/22. The money was supposed to be returned via certified check including a tracking number within 10 days of execution of the agreement. It has been approximately two months since we made the request for our money back and we have not received a DIME. Since 11/10/22 we have been in contact with the Aquest Group leadership who has provided nothing but empty promises that they will return portions (NOT the whole deposit as stipulated in the agreement) of the money as available. "Hang in there" & "bear with me" are not acceptable resolutions to this issue.

    Hello Ms. Pigott. Sorry for the delay from when I spoke to you, and you sent me this link. For some reason, I was having trouble loading the file because the link was freezing. But in either case, attached is my response to Lemmons complaint. We are willing to settle this case. I argue Mr. and Mrs. Lemmons were not working with us in good faith. They were aware that the lots were not recorded yet but wanted to reserve a lot for their semi-custom home. They caused us to run up thousands of dollars in architects' fees while they were designing their new home. They are aware we were required to have the lots "spoken for" to obtain an almost $2 million development loan. Then they unexpectedly withdrew their commitment within in three days after their final design meeting with the architect. Now the architect needs to be paid and we need to seek a new financing arrangement that doesn't require us to have the lots committed for. I have asked the architectural firm to reconsider the amount they are charging us for the Lemons' house design, and we are working on a new loan commitment. This may take us another 60-90 days.

    Hi Ms. Pigott,


    I am rejecting this response because of the assertion by the William and the Acquest Group that they will "refund Mr. and Mrs. Lemons the lot reservation fee, less what we have already paid them and less the architectural fees related to their unique design.” Anything less than the full amount returned us amounts will be construed as an attempt to steal/embezzle our lot deposit funds. I expect the remaining balance of our lot deposit ($8900) to be returned as stated in our agreement(s) and acknowledged by William's CPA in the first payment sent to me via zelle.

    We expect to receive our full remaining balance of $8900 within 60 days as William has indicated in his response to you and the BBB.  

    Also, I am requesting that you please close this case today 2/27/23.
