My basement started flooding in the last couple of months so I called **** ****** to come out and inspect the gutters. **** ****** told me that the fascia board is separating from the foundation of the house. I started looking for my contract for the roof and notice I have a 10 year manufacturing warranty, Workmanship for Roof replacement Warranty. I called Four Seasons to come inspect and the production manager and owner came out replies the gutter is clogged. I had the gutter cleared out prior to a storm I had in my area and my basement sill flooded. When it rains the water is running off the roof down foundation of the house because of this board. The manager only had taken pictures of only inside of the gutter and it was not a lot debris in the gutter for the manger not notice the fascia board. The Fascia Board is separating from the wall of the house. I feel like the company doesn't want to honor the warranty can someone please help me with this matter. I feel like taking advantage of me because of me being a Woman as well.Business Response

We received a call from the customer on August 5th 2024 , where the customer was telling us that she has a leak in the basement and
she is not sure why, but she believes that the fascia board where the gutter is
attached is separating from the foundation. . We immediately scheduled an appointment
with our production manager for August 7th, at 10am.
Upon his arrival, Mrs. ******* was already upset and very aggressive
with him blaming Four Seasons Roofing for the leak in the basement. Vasa remained
professional and calm and did not engage in arguments. He asked the customer to
allow him to inspect everything. He set up the ladder and inspected the roof,
gutter and the fascia board. Vasa did not find any issues with the work we did.
The fascia board was not separated from the wall and the roof drip edge was pointed
into the gutter. We have photos to substantiate that. The only thing that was
found and raised concerns were debris in the gutter near the downspout drain. After
our production manager finished his inspection, he try to explain his finding
to the customer. She became even more angry and insisted that the fascia board
was pulling away that is causing her basement leak. She ignored the fact that
her gutter drain is full of debris that may be the cause of gutter overflowing.
We emailed the photos to show her that the fascia board is
secure and there are no issues with the facia.
Since we did the roof in 2020, we had lots of heavy and torrential
storms, and our roof held as expected. We also found photos from 2020 of the
new fascia board installed and it was installed with masonry anchors that is
almost impossible for fascia to pull away from the brick wall.
The customer also stated that she had **** ****** come to
her home. We did not find any gutter protection/ **** ****** installed on her
property and they were the ones that informed her that fascia board was
separating.
We are attaching the photos from our inspection to our response.
Our Owner Alex T****** is willing to talk to the customer and re-inspect himself
the fascia board if she would like. She can contact our office to schedule.Customer Answer

Shawn from Four Seasons Roofing came to my home to give an estimate because of a water leak. It was explained to him that a squirrel had come in via the roof and this was probably the cause of the leak. Shawn explained that the roof could be repaired and the water was coming in along the wall by my neighbor. Shawn obtain authorization from my neighbor and the work was done in June 2022. My roof continued to leak in the exact same location but now it is worst. I contact Four Seasons Roofing on 10/3/22 and spoke to Mr. G**** and explained to him that my roof was still leaking. He sent someone else to my home that inspected the roof and the leaking ceiling in my home. No one called to say anything after the 2nd inspection. I re-contacted Mr. G**** on 10/5/2022 and he stated that they would come back and stop the leak and give me a good price. I told him that we had already paid and the work was not done. Mr. G**** said he would have Shawn call back. Shawn called back and stated that all we had to pay was about $350 to cover the cost of the material and they would do the proper repair. Again I asked why do we have to pay if the work was not completed. Shawn tried to explain what work was needed. He stated he would call back. To date we have not heard back from Four Seasons Roofing. Shawn took pictures when he came out to do the estimate. He also stated that they would have pictures of the repair work. I do not have the pictures. I would like my money back because I don't trust them and I know that they did nothing. The day that the crew came to do the repair it didn't take them 30 minutes. I don't believe they did anything. Due to the prolonged water damage we will now incur an additional cost to have the mold remediated, drywall replaced and the room painted. They won't even call us back. I would like to seek a more creditable roofer to do the repair. They have no respect for me as a person or a consumer.Business Response

On Dec. 28, 2021 Mrs. W reached our office asking for estimates for a roof repair and roof replacement. She stated that she is having leaks. We scheduled an appointment with our consultant, Shawn R******, for Dec.30th 2021
On December 30th 2021, Shawn R****** went to her property and inspected the roof. Based on the visual inspection of the roof she was emailed the estimates on January 3, 2022 for both repairs and replacement.
On February 16th of 2022 she responded that she is ready to sign the roof repair contract and we sent her the link to sign the contract. We didn't receive her signed contract until April 13, 2022.
We scheduled the repairs for the very next day, April 14th. When our technician went to do the contracted work he discovered that the work could not be properly completed without having a signed waiver from her neighbors, giving us permission to work on their roof due to the fact that roofs are joined together by caps since the property is a townhouse.
Mrs. W did not return the signed waiver to us until June 7, 2022. On June 17th we went and completed the contracted work. After the completion of the work on June 17th Mrs. W never reached out to Four Seasons Roofing to let us know that there was still an active leak or that the work was not done in the area where she is experiencing leaks.
On October 3, 2022 she called the office and spoke to Alex Tugucci and said that her roof never stopped leaking and she asked that we send someone back to check the roof. We promptly sent Vasile, our production manager, out to check for leaks. The leak was coming from a different area than where we completed the repairs. In her BBB complaint she is mentioning that "nobody called to say anything about the 2nd inspection". We did not call because we spoke with Mr. W(husband) and explained why the roof is leaking and showed him the photos of the shingles lifted on eaves from someone putting foam underneath them to prevent squirrels from getting in. It may be the exterminator who did that but was definitely not Four Seasons Roofing.
When Mrs. W spoke to Alex on Oct. 3rd she mentioned that her roof had never stopped leaking but didn't have time to call us. We sent someone out the same day she finally called the office. We have recordings of the conversations where she stated that she never stopped leaking after we did the repairs 4 months ago.
Alex said that he may need to charge Mrs W a small fee since the leak is coming from a different area than where we did the work.
On October 7th Shawn spoke to Mrs W. and let her know we would fix her leak. Since the leak was in a different area we were going to charge for the work. After speaking with her, we offered to do the repairs at no additional cost as a previous customer courtesy.
She was scheduled for October 15th and our system sends automated reminder emails 24 hours in advance.
On October 13th we received the BBB complaint from Mrs. W and immediately contacted the customer. She stated that she didn't hear back from Shawn for a few days and she thought that we would not do the work that we promised her. We sent our technicians with our Production Manager to do the repairs the next day. We repaired the area where the leak was coming in and we also fixed the entire eave of her roof to prevent future leaks that may happen near the old leak from improper exterminator fix.
We did not charge the customer for the repairs and we responded promptly on all the calls she made to our office. We think that we fulfilled our promise and provided Mrs. W. W with a permanent fix of her leak.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Time will tell if the leak was properly repaired.
