My first purchase with Bunting Auctions was the purchase of a smoker stand that was described as "brass, glass, and wood." When I received it, it was painted to look like brass. It took two days for Bunting to respond and **** Bunting claimed the person who worked from home did not actually see the item. A refund was issued. The second time, I received my item I bid on was a group of ceramic pieces. I viewed the pics. When I received the items, their was a crack vase that was NOT in the pics AND one of the items was from TJMAXX...this was completely omitted from the pics and description. My third purchase was a $200 Murano vase. It arrived broken. The packaging was 2 bubble wrap of the vase and Styrofoam peanuts where the vase was moving without support. I notified the owner and she claimed "************, I fail to see how any of it is inaccurate - you can see the crack in the picture and 'Blue & White Hanging Planters, Ceramic Mushrooms and Vases' is exactly what they are. We take more pictures than 90% of auction houses and give more than the usual auction house description of 'ceramics' or 'desk'. Perhaps this is not a good venue for you to bid. I responded by letting her know I would be leaving a review about 3 poor customer service experiences, failure to provide accurate description of items, and falsification of photos. **** Bunting accused me of being rude and threatening. She canceled 2 orders and removed me from the account. I no longer have access to the pics of the items. Based on reviews from other customers that I have read, this business practice is a norm. She accuses the customer of poor behavior and removes them from their account. I would like the items that I paid for that she canceled instead of avoiding the issue at hand.Business Response

The date of the transaction was 4/25/24. The amount paid total was *****. Two items purchased. Only complaining about one of the two items. The Bose Headphones with case. That is what they provided. The problem is the Headphones do not work, the charger that came with it has a short in it. I called them and told them about it, and was asked if I had come in and checked them out?" I replied no but it isn't fair to me that they are selling the item in non working condition. The seller that sold this item sure knew they weren't in working condition. The item sure wasn't listed as having a problem. I was told the bookkeeper would contact me and that didn't happen. I would like to return them and receive a refund. Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.Business Response

I bought an RGIII autographed jersey after all taxes and other monies I spent $147.?? On it only one time out of 4 trips did I see it but didn't have room the lady said she'd put a note that I'd be back to pick it up. When I did come back it seems like no one knew where it was at. The next time I was there I seen it on the wall in the warehouse and the chubby lady told me it didn't have my numbers on it. So come to find out they sold it out from underneath me. I want that money too because it was mine and they sold it without permission. They have blocked my phone number and my email I can't go on the site so I can print my invoice. Then on the 17th of this month she took $230.23 and I don't know for what. I never gave her permission for that amount. I had to call my bank and try to put a stop payment and change my debit card. She's just taking money without permission also she took another $89.?? Out my account 4 days before the $230.23. I can't get any proof off the site because I'm blocked. She's a liar and a cheat and she has done this time and again. I have told her that her business ethics was bad then I get blocked. I want my money and what was the $230.23 taken without any reason why. I didn't get anything in return but blocked. Even on her website for the auctions I can't sign in to print any invoices. Isn't that bad ethics. I drove from ***********, ** to get these items. Not cheap. I've waited for checks from her after consigning items from June and still haven't received anything. She says she sends checks out every two weeks but from June till now is way longer than anticipated. She takes her money immediately but to get yours takes months not weeks. Like I've said earlier I am not able to print any invoices due to **** Bunting blocking my use of the auction site, that I apologize for and again ethics lack in her way of doing business.Business Response

I bought a ***** ******* and a ***** ******* bag from their online auction, upon picking up the items, I found out these 2 bags are justlow end counterfeit, the *** logo is even fabricated in a cheap way, the letter * is cut by letter *, I never saw such logo from *** brand. I came back to them and they refused to accept return. The business is not conducting in a professional manner, they are trying to sell counterfeits to customer at the cost of consumer.Business Response

We are an auction house. We try to be very transparent about our Terms and Conditions. We have almost 1000 items every week from coins, to fine jewelry, to tools, and household goods. We donate anything of obvious lesser quality and between the two we sort through almost 100,000 items a year. We don't have much time to spend with each item - we can't even plug in the electronics. We are very clear about this. You can get great deals at auctions, but we are not a retail store with knowledge of the history of the items. It is the job of the consignor to do their due diligence with anything they are interested in bidding on so that they fully know the condition before they bid. We have great bidders that come in every week and plug things in, check for chips, etc. We are happy to give condition reports for our out of area bidders. **** ***** didn't bother to do this.
Our items come from estates, some come from single consignors, some from folks that buy storage units, etc. But they are not our items. At the top of every auction it reads "Please check every item for authenticity and working condition'. We don't want anyone to be disappointed, but we are not handbag experts. Anything has the potential to be counterfeit- ******* glass, a few months ago it was *******, before that, ******* cards. We would have to triple our buyer's premium if we were to employ authentication experts. We have a contractual obligation to pay the consignor at the hammer price. A bid is a legally binding contract. This is how auctions work. I have canceled her bidding account so we won't have a problem in the future.Initial Complaint

My bidder number is ****. I purchased 2 inflatable items in good faith on October 6, 2022. Bunting On Line Auctions had first hand knowledge that this and another item was defective, and fraudulently posted for sale the items anyway. I have evidence to prove this.Business Response

************* was so unkind to our employees that we closed her bidding account before she ever contacted us with a problem with her inflatable item. She refused to wait in line, and instead went around everyone and started to take things outside. Our employee let her know that she needed to wait and he would get her items reflected on her paid invoice- that she couldn't just grab things and leave. He needed to verify they were hers. That made her irate. She then demanded that he carry all of them out to her car. On the bottom of every invoice it reads "Please bring packing material and help to load heavier items". Of course, we sometimes help if we have time, but there was a long line of people waiting so he couldn't leave them to carry items, even if she had asked nicely.
************* then went inside to another area and began yelling at the manager. She was so aggressive that we canceled her account the following day. We, of course, don't sell items we know to be faulty unless they are listed 'for parts'. We have over11,000 bidders, almost 1000 items every week and have been doing this for over six years.. 99.999% of our bidders are thrilled. It's always the angry folks that file complaints.Customer Answer
