    I tried organizing a dinner for some fellow Veteran's at McCormick & Schmick's (M&S), for 6/17/2023, at *************************, Oxon Hill. MD. I had tried on 511/2023, completing a request form requiring a manager to contact me. I didn't hear anything for a month. On 6/14/2023, I stopped by the restaurant to find out why I hadn't heard anything. The managers played the blame game. Then, I was told someone would call me with more information and I left. Later, I received a call from *****************************. She told me that someone would call me to discuss the menu. She also told me there was a $300.00 deposit, it would be applied to the bill and I had 24 hours to make a decision on the menu. I returned to the restaurant to pay the deposit, in case we decided to go with it. Later, I received an email with 3-4 menu selections to choose from and I contacted my group to see what selection they wanted. They didn't like the menu and declined it. That night I replied to the ****** email, informing that we decided not to move forward and requested my deposit be refunded to my credit card. The next day, I checked my email to see of she responded, she hadn't. I called her, but got her voicemail and left a message. Later, I called again, a gentleman answered and I asked for ****. He gave her the phone. I informed her of our decision and requested my refund. She said, I couldn't get it back because I signed a contract. I told her I didn't sign anything. Then she said, it would take 2 weeks for the refund. I said, that's fine. Then she said, she'd have to get approval and that could take 6 weeks. I said, you initially said 2 weeks, now you're saying 6. I said, I hope I don't incur a problem with this, because I would involve the Better Business Bureau (BBB). She said, there's no need to involve them. Then she sent an email to *****************************, informing her to process my refund. That was 6/17/2023. To date, I have not received my refund. That's where I am now with this complaint.

    Thank you for your actions on attempting to rectify the situation between McCormick & Schmidt's and myself. Fortunately, they have refunded my money and I'm satisfied with the outcome.
