On 05/26/2022, at the recommendation of ************* workshop in Bethesda, I went to Adler & Mandel Inc., to replace all the carpets of the car and the padding on the seats of a historic ******** **** *** ** 1985 convertible. Although the budget was expensive, I agreed to pay for the service, only because of the confidence that the recommendation made by ************* generated in me. In total it was US$3,692. My idea of making that investment was to restore the car to its original 1985 condition. To change all the carpets in the vehicle and change the padding on the seats, the seats had to be disassembled, "whose mechanism worked perfectly." When I was called to pick up the car, what surprised me at first was that *** ***** gave me the key and showed me where my vehicle was parked. Not even had the professionalism of going with me to show me the work done for almost US$4,000. When I went to the car and try to check the work done I immediately realize that the mechanism for the driver's seat of the convertible DID NOT WORK. I returned to the workshop counter and ask *** ***** for an explanation of what happened. He tells me that since it is an old car, the cable was broken and that he could give me "a special price" to repair it, to which I told him that this was their entire responsibility because the mechanism worked perfectly when I initially took the car there. Reviewing car there I realize that in addition to that, the cap of the convertible top release handle was missing. I showed him with the photographs that I had taken of the vehicle before that it also had it and that was when he promised IN WRITING to repair and replace the parts at no cost. When I went to demand the repair, he told me that I had to leave the car without indicating an exact date to pick it up, nor offering me a car while the repair lasts. He even refused to call me an **** or take me to my house that was less than 2 ml from the place, even that those damages were not my responsibility.

We installed a leather kit on ******************************' 35 year old ********* His seat release cable was old and stretched out. Which he blamed us for. To avoid conflict we said we would replace it as a courtesy. When he finally took the car into us to have this done he wanted to wait for it. When we told them that it was not a wait job he started to get angry, took his keys then placed his keys back on the counter demanding a ride which we do not offer. He stated if we wouldn't get him a ride home he would contact the BBB. We do not offer rides and told him that we would not comply, he then got irate and left. The work that we had done originally and billed for, he had no issue with. The  issue is that he wanted us to replace a cable which we would have as a  courtesy until he got demanding, we do not offer rides and this would be at least a two day job. Adler & Mandel as a courtesy  bought the replacement cable and it is here he can have this if he wants, but we will no longer work on this customer's vehicle after his last conduct in our establishment.
