On March 24, 2023, I purchased a renewal for an annual Open Space Pass, which was $20, for my vehicle from OPP. In order to have an Open Pass, OPP requires two cars to be registered on their site, paying for the registration, of which I did the year prior. I did this the first year, and didn't realize that it was a yearly registration, as I renewed the Open Space Pass. OPP deleted my Open Space Pass, telling me I didn't have two vehicles registered, of which I would have been happy to correct immediately, but they didn't give me any time, and basically stole $20 from me. They refused to reinstate the ANNUAL pass I purchased, saying that once it is removed, and if it is after 7 days from purchase, that they would not refund me the money. They are stealing customers' money by deleting purchased passes without customers' consent, instead of disabling the passes until the problem is resolved. I would like to get my $20 back.

I paid for a parking pass with the company Online Parking Pass as a resident of The **********Apartments on January 4, 2023. However, no pass was issued. After contacting them I was informed my pass I had purchased was deleted. Also, I was denied a refund. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or for corporates number I was denied. Was told I wasn’t allowed a refund and if I didn’t pay again for another pass I would be towed at my own expense. So now I’ve lost money and face getting my car towed if I don’t pay again, for something I already paid for and never received. Please investigate this company upon doing my own research I am not alone, with similar issues with this company see the attachments to this complaint. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/08/2023

Please see attached emails to the complainant requesting actions being taken on her behalf to get the situation taken care of for her by email and via text messages.  She didn't respond and was given extra days to reply to have her vehicle in compliance.  On our website it clearly gives the options on what to do when replacing or switching a vehicle.  I do understand that she is saying that she paid for one that was assigned to a different vehicle.  Our permits are not interchangeable and can not be switched from car to car.  That is why she was asked to submit new information and obtain a new permit for a different vehicle.  We did everything we could by sending proper notice of what could happen if she didn't contact us back in the emails.    Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with in that matter.

This company suddenly and without notice suspended my parking pass which was paid for a year in advance, It was valid for 5 months then suspended with no warning. The company employee would not explain why my pass was valid for 5 months and then suspended. It is a work vehicle and they refuse to answer questions. They want me to pay for something I have already paid for again or I will get towed. It feels like they are strong arming me and holding my vehicle hostage by threatening a tow bill that would cost 180 dollars minimum. They also refuse to provide me with information about all changes made to my account as information on another vehicle I own was edited(not by me) which resulted in my car being impounded while I was out of town and the bill came to 505 dollars.

I got towed from a place of residence even though I park monthly for parking. I had to buy a guest pass and a guest tag because the website was not working. They are not helping me recoup any of my money.

I firmly believe that the Online Parking Company, is over charging, possibly scamming the residents of the ***** Community n Clarksburg MD, for parking passes. I recently purchased a used car. My current pass which is good for a year hasn't expired, but this company is trying to charge me for another simply because I switched cars... The pass pays for the space, for a yr, they should have nothing to do with what car put n my space, so long as my yearly pass hasn't expired. I had to park on the street tonight and walk to my building. I'm a disabled Vet with physical restrictions, that's why I pay for a handicap space. They have done this to a number of residents. This is nothing less than theft... Not to mention they don't offer 24hr service. So if I come home, with a new car, a rental, or a loaner from a relative after 5-6pm, there's a very good chance any car I park n my space will b towed. This is pushing the boundaries of extortion... Something needs to be done and I fear our property manager ***, maybe n on this parking pass scam. What would U call someone charging u twice for a yearly pass, in the same yr...
