I called the Maryland Crisis Line in **************** on December 9th 2024 at 12:00 a.m. The Maryland Crisis Line's phone number is ************** and I noticed a woman answered the phone and she said "hello, how can I help you today?" I said "hello my name is ****." She said "hello ****, how can I help you today?" I said "is this a crisis line number?" She said "yes it is, how can I help you today?" I said "I am going through a lot and I feel overwhelmed. Do you want me to die or do you want me to live?" She said she didn't care if I wanted to live or die. Then she started saying rude and disrespected things to me and she made me feel like I was not important. I asked her "what is your name?" She said "my name is Ms. ***** and she is Crisis Specialist." I asked her "can I talk to your manager or supervisor?" She said that the manager or supervisor was not there. Then she got mad at me and she hanged up in my face. That was wrong what she did to me. I forgive her, I bless her, and I wish her the best in her life and I will never call that number again.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/27/2025

    Good Afternoon,

My name is ***** ****** and I am the Director of 24/7 Services at Life Crisis Center. I am aware that this case has been closed, due to a nonresponse. We did not receive this letter until 1/10/25 and we have been investigating the claim.

The caller with this number has contacted our hotline 6 times, with the last contact being on 8/31/24. All of the reports show a hangup or silent call with the exception of 1. On, 5/9/24 at 12:05p, the caller asked to speak to a supervisor because his cousin had a complaint about a staff person. He was told a supervisor would be available at 8am. The staff in question has answered 2 calls from this caller, both silent calls. There were no calls from this phone number on 12/9/24.

We have checked our call reports system and our call monitoring system to verify the above information.

If there are any questions, please contact me at *********************************** Thank you.
