Lisa and her workers spent the time and care with me and I felt listened to. They knew the struggles I was going through and did a most excellent job in having my taxes done quickly & smoothly.
I cannot thank her and her team enough for their professionalism as well as extremely prompt and courteous nature. They have a long term customer in me and I highly recommend this company!

If you require a tax representative that is diligent and thorough, I would highly recommend Lisa Ingram. With multiple properties, investments, different state claims due to military state exemptions and small business taxes, my wife and I reached out to Lisa to complete our taxes 2 years ago. After completing taxes with *********, Lisa was on a different level than *********. Her team was extremely diligent in asking all relevant questions and ensuring all documents were available to verify all expenses and deductions. This thoroughness gave us peace of mind in the completeness of our taxes, with the best possible return. We will definitely continue utilizing Lisa's tax services for years to come.

I received a letter from the Comptroller of Maryland. The Tax investigator was requesting documentation to justify the pension exclusion on my 2019 taxes. Lisa failed to comply with Maryland Income Tax Laws in the preparation and completion of my 2019, 2020, and 2021 Maryland State taxes. I believe Lisa fraudulently submitted a Pension Exclusion on my 2019, 2020, and 2021 Maryland state income tax returns. Lisa failed to do her due diligence in researching the Pension Exclusion. Additionally, she failed to comply with Maryland State & Local Tax Booklet, Pg 7, Para 13, Line 10a. Lisa was well aware that I did not meet the criteria for the pension exclusion, which are: 1. Lisa and I have met on 3-4 occasions. She has my DOB, therefore; she can confirm, I'm not 65. 2. Lisa has my W-2s, therefore; she is aware of my employment. 3. I DID NOT provide Lisa Ingram with a "certification from a qualified physician stating the nature of my impairment and that I'm totally disabled" Lisa did not seem to show any care or concern regarding this tax situation. She actually blamed me for providing her with the letter from the Veteran's Administration and the Maryland Property Tax Assessment Department. Lisa stated to me that she had no reason to research the pension exclusion because her Tax Software did not indicate an issue with my worksheet. Additionally, Lisa provided no apology and took no interest in amending my 2020 and 2021 returns. I hired Lisa Ingram as my Tax subject matter expert and because I don't know tax law. Her failure to comply with the Tax Law has turned into a very costly lesson for me.

Hi Sonja. Thank you for taking the time to write this detailed review. We're sorry that you were not satisfied with the tax returns we prepared for you. We pride ourselves on preparing top quality work and providing excellent customer service. As such, we always dedicate time to go over tax returns with our clients to ensure complete satisfaction and accuracy. We also strongly advise taxpayers to review their returns thoroughly and invite taxpayers to bring up any concerns that may arise. All returns go through a vigorous, multistep review process, whereby any unanswered questions or ambiguous information is thoroughly investigated. However, we have to rely on information provided by the taxpayer. The discussions that we had with you at the time along with the documentation provided to us indicated that you met the criteria of being totally and permanently disabled. As we previously offered, we are happy to prepare any amendments that may be necessary. Please call our office to discuss how we can best rectify the situation.

    Hello,

On October 6, 2022, I contacted your office via e-mail and spoke with you and your assistant on the phone. You stated on the phone, "if the auditor is going to correct tax year 2019, they can do us all a favor and correct the rest (2020 & 2021)". NOW you are happy to assist, you were not helpful at all during our phone conversation. I sent your office a copy of the letter from the Maryland Comptroller. I never received a response. If you cared about your customers and truly wanted to rectify the issue, you would have contacted me. The Maryland Comptroller stated that any CPA preparing taxes should be aware of the specific requirements for this Pension Exclusion. Again, I'm not a tax expert..that's why I hired you.

Here is the part you did not receive from me and the Auditor explained this in detail, "You must attach to your return a certification from a qualified physician stating the nature of your impairment and that you are totally disabled. If you have previously submitted a physician's certification, attach your own statement that you are still totally disabled and that a physician's certification was submitted before."
