      I filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy last year September 2022 and paid $1900.00. This law firm didn’t do anything but ask me for several documents to send him as I did for 1yr. My case was held up for a year. In September 2023 I was told I had too much equity in my home and the trustees may take my house. So I sent a letter stating I will cancel the bankruptcy and pay my creditors. I’m October Steinburg called me and said I can file a chapter 13. I told him no to send back my refund. I understand the first $300.00 was going to be because I canceled. He sent me a check for $1000.00 after 3 emails requesting my money back and in one of the letters I ask him for the amount but he never did. So final I received a check for $1000.00 and I was expecting $1600.00 due to this firm never did any work. I will never recommend this firm to anyone. I feel I was robbed of my money and my debt was less than $16000.00 and if I was going to continue with his firm it was going to cost me $25000.00 in the end that’s why I chose to pay my own debt.
