    I enrolled both of my sons at a local martial arts dojo. One of my sons ended up with a severe autoimmune disorder, CRMO, that will now prevent him from participating. We informed the Dojo of this and wished to continue to only have one of my sons enrolled, and to cancel for my ill son. I was informed that my contract listed both sons on one, so I was unable to cancel. Continuing would cause my son serious illness as even with no contact, his bones are inflamming to the point of breaking. The Dojo was informed of this and still refused to cancel my contract. If either the Dojo or this company continue to attempt to collect money from us, I will be taking legal action as this is a violation of our rights since this is a medical issue.

    This
    letter is in response to the above referenced case number, regarding ****** *******’s account with ***** ****** Martial Arts.

    Based
    on ****** *******’s membership agreement, it will be the customer’s responsibility
    to submit their request for cancellation to Global Financial Inc. However,
    based on our records, the customer has not contacted our company regarding
    medical cancellation.

    Based on the membership agreement, medical cancellation can only occur if the member's condition is non-preexisting and permanent.

    We
    have reached out to the customer and provided our Medical Cancellation
    Guideline and requested the medical documentation to determine eligibility for medical cancellation, and we will continue to follow up.

    My minor son is having mental health issues. I have asked that this company cancel my minor sons contract. They are refusing to cancel the account which is unethical. They are only allowing the contract to be cancelled if he is hurt in the DoJo.

    Also, the Dojo operates out of Georgia buy this company is in Maryland. All we are asking for is that the company cancel my minor son's contract.

    This letter is in response to the above referenced case number for an account with World Class Taekwondo.

    Based on Mr. Raymond ********** membership agreement, to be released from his contractual obligation, the cancellation would need to be processed under the medical or relocation cancellation provisions stipulated in the membership agreement.

    On September 29, 2022, the customer was informed that, although medical issues are valid reasons for cancellation, we need documentation proving the situation is eligible under the guidelines in the contract. We advised the customer that the medical documentation does not need to include sensitive medical information, and that we must only be given enough information to determine that the member's condition did not pre-exist the contract signing date, and that the condition will prohibit the activity for at least one (1) year. As of today, we have not received any documentation allowing us to finalize the processing of their cancellation request.

    During our telephone conversation on September 29, 2022, Mr. Dasilva asked the hypothetical question, that if the member becomes injured due to participating in an activity despite his mental health issues, would liability fall upon our company or World Class Taekwondo, since we would not release them from their contract. Our response to this question was that there is no liability unless the member suffers injury on the World Class Taekwondo property that was a direct result of the school's negligence. To confirm, this was a separate issue from cancellation, and was discussed only in context of injury liability.

    In addition, please be informed that the one (1) year membership agreement with World Class Taekwondo was signed on July 22, 2022 by Raymond ******** Therefore, Ms. Peaches ****** is not legally able to request cancellation on this account.
