    I am writing to formally file a complaint against Barleys Backyard Uptown regarding an unacceptable experience I had at their establishment on 4/1/2025.During my visit, I placed an order, and when my food was delivered, an extra childrens meal was included. I immediately informed the server that I had not ordered the item. However, instead of removing it, the server left it on my table. When he returned, I reiterated that the meal was not mine and that I had not ordered it. The server then insisted that I had confirmed the order, which was untrue.Shortly after, the manager came to my table and told me I would be required to pay for the extra meal. I again stated multiple times that I had not ordered it, nor had I eaten it, and requested its removal from my bill. Instead of addressing the mistake, the manager threatened to call the police when I refused to pay for the item I never ordered. Ultimately, he refused to adjust the bill and instead asked me to leave and never return.This experience was deeply frustrating and unacceptable. No customer should be forced to pay for food they did not order or consume, let alone be threatened with law enforcement for standing their ground. I am seeking a formal resolution, including an acknowledgment of this misconduct and a corrective action plan from the restaurant to prevent similar incidents in the future.I appreciate your time in reviewing this complaint and look forward to your response.

    Customer arrived with children in her party. They ordered the food that is on the attached receipt. When the customer told the server that she didn't order two kids chicken fingers but only one, the server asked for a manager. The manager indicated that this was the food that was ordered and prepared. After talking to the server, the manager instructed the server to remove one of the kid's chicken fingers from the check in order to placate the customer. While this was being done, the customer stood up and used extremely foul language in front of small children cursing out our staff and proceeded to walk out without paying any of her $72 check. The restaurant is now out $72. This is why she was told that the police would be called. We cannot stay in business if we do not receive payment for product that was ordered.
