I went to this dentist on May 16, 2024 for a partial repair, dentist said it couldn't be repaired, suggested new ones. Took the impression charged my care credit card $1185.97 I was told the partial would be back in 7- business days. Which would have been May 26th. I'm waiting for a phone call, update, but never received one. Finally called and was able to get through after calling all day the previous day on June 18th, receptionist stated, they just got there . By now it's been past 30 days for the process. I go for the try in, teeth don't fit, too painful to wear. The teeth had to be sent yo the lab for adjustment, was told another 7 - 10 business day process! Due back on July 2nd. I called on July 8th was told my records say you received your partial, so I go up there, spoke with Dr. ****** very apologetic for the misinformation from the receptionist ,yes they were sent out, he had her call the lab, a lab that's not in the State of ********, it's Florida!! Ok she calls one lab, they don't have it, then she calls another, yes we have it, it will be sent out on the 9th!! I call today oh it's going to be sent out today, which is the 11th, and arrive on Monday the 15th. At this point I've paid for teeth I don't have, and I know longer want them. If on fact they need further adjustments they will again be sent out of ********.Initial Complaint

The affordable dentures and implants are very unprofessional, and they don't answer the telephone at **************************************************************. I tried multiple times to get in touch with this office and they will not answer the phone at this number ************. I have to tried to call from different numbers just to see if they would answer and they don't. I visited this office on April 9th to get a new partial made. It's now May 28th and I have not received it. I grove to their office the week of May 9th to get some answers as to what going on and the so-called receptionist said it should be back on May 15th. That did not happen, and when I did not receive a call from them, I tried calling again to find out that the office was closed from May 20th thru 27th. I tried calling the morning of the May 28th and I still did not get anyone to answer.Business Response

My first appointment was in 2021, it’s been a 3 year process I had so much trouble getting ahold of the office everytime I called no one would answer I had to leave a message and wouldn’t receive a call back when I finally was able to get through and they gave me my final set I literally cried the teeth was so big, bucked, and crooked! It look like something you would buy at the dollar store and wear for Halloween, I have had to go back to the office I’d say at least 50 times they just keep resetting the same plate I expressed each visit how I was not happy and all the money I paid I told them I wanted my final set to look somewhat like my temporary set smaller straight teeth! But they have yet to give me a new plate and keep jacking up the first set they tried to give me, I also live 45 min away so I’ve wasted so much in gas and tolls which I’ve explained to them they just keep getting frustrated with me because I am not happy they “have a 100%” guarantee that says it will be fix the right way within 100 days. I was so embarrassed by the first set I deleted the picture out of my phone so I don’t even have what it first looked like they tried to give me. I don’t recall the total price I paid they do have it in file it was between $3000-4500Business Response

If I had the original photo of what they tried to give me you would be appalled! I had to reschedule twice because my daughter was in the hospital but prior to that I could never get anyone to answer the phone or return my voicemails, I got so tired of going back and forth and being very disappointed with what I paid for I told him they looked better then what he gave me before but that wasn’t what I wanted I wanted something similar to my temporary and they just kept butchering the same plate over and over and once I showed my family they was very upset they told me to contact you guys because everytime I go it’s another disappointment, so if I cannot get a new plate to my liking I just want a refund to go somewhere else. We had to contact another affordable dentures last year to get ahold of the office in Towson we explain no one would answer or return our voicemails that is how we finally got through to set up another appointment. I almost walked out twice with the product being very unhappy cause I was tired of being let down wasting my time my gas having to cancel appointments for my kids, I heard other patients in the office complaining as well how they wasn’t happy, and when I got home my mother in law pulled up the reviews on ****** and I’m not the only one having the same issues. I shouldn’t cry after looking at my teeth. Again if they cannot give me a new plate something similar to what I have now I want a refund I’ll go elsewhere, not to mention my top denture has had a huge crack in it for over a year it’s been hard to even eat!Business Response

I went to this business to have a full set of dentures made. The dentures I was given do not fit my mouth properly at all. They are very ill fitting and uncomfortable, the top teeth have a very pronounced overbite and the bottoms are too big but also dont only cover half my gums so food gets in under the dentures. I still cant eat well with the dentures. This business advertises a 100 day money back guarantee. The dentist tried to tell after examining them and seeing how poorly they fit me to give it a few months then he could have them remade. After I complained that if I did that I would be outside the timeline of the money back guarantee having no recourse, the dentist said he would have the dentures remade. He had me make another appointment and did another mold of my teeth. He said the dentures would be available within 2 weeks for me to try. This was over a month ago. After contacting the office a few times where I was told they werent ready and they couldnt tell me when they would be ready I am now asking for a refund. I also found out what they had me pay before recording the dentures was $402 more than my insurance said I should have paid - so they also overcharged me for my portion after my insurance paid them. I reported to ***** they had done this and ***** said they will start an **************** very unhappy and I want them to stand by the guarantee they advertise and give me a refund for the dentures so I can go somewhere that give give me dentures that fit properly and I can use. This company is just giving me the runaround and dove they offer a money back satisfaction guarantee I want them to honor that at give me my money back.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: First of all there is no disconnect. The dentures provided give an unmistakable appearance of a drastic overbite or "Buck" ****** This is not related to surgery, swelling or healing. As **** the office manager said herself an overbite is not going to improve over time or as swelling goes down it requires a remake of the dentures. I waited for over a month for the remake of the dentures (which Dr ********************** stated would be within 2 weeks at the most) and never heard back until I filed this complaint. Then the day after I filed this complaint, I was told the dentures would be ready to be picked up.I also have an *** from Aetna showing my portion for the dentures was to be $2749. Instead, I was charged $3151 which I had to pay before I could have the dentures. A copy of the *** will be attached as well as pictures of the dentures I was given. This is also going to be reported to my state dental board if this business is going to refuse the requested refund.
Furthermore, I believe to advertise a money back guarantee and then refuse to honor it is false advertising and dishonest. I haven't even been able to eat properly since getting these dentures because in addition to the drastic overbite the bottoms don't fully cover the gums and don't fit properly. So not only do I have a really hard time eating but food gets under the bottom denture and causes the adhesive to not hold the dentures in place. It takes a ridiculous amount of adhesive to even get the dentures to stay in at all because they don't come close to fitting properly. So, I don't agree this has anything to do with "unrealistic expectations" but rather poorly made dentures and a business using what I view as dishonest business practices and an unwillingness to honor their own advertised guarantee of their work!
If you check ****** or reviews of this practice (like I wish I had before I went to them) you will see I'm far from the only dissatisfied customer they have. they have a very low rating with Consumer Affairs, Yelp, Reddit and a number of other sites. Many people have pointed out the advertised 100 day money back satisfaction guarantee and the fact they do not honor that guarantee. Which I am clearly an example of!

Dear BBB:
In regard to Ms. ******** response, I do still stand by my original response which I in detail explained how patients, including this patient can have some unrealistic expectations with regards to prostheses, especially dentures that are done in surgery cases such as this one. However, in most instances, and it is true in this particular case, we try to do everything in our power to satisfy and/or get resolution for the patient. In this instance we, with the patient's consent, decided to remake the dentures. In doing so, we made it abundantly clear that I would be sending the case off to another one of my dental office's labs that is offsite, to try to insure a more favorable result, which would add weeks to the process. Moreover, when I do remakes, we allow the patient to have what is called a " wax try in", which are the teeth selected by the lab set in wax to allow the patient to have a preview of their smile. We do not finish the case until the patient gives verbal and written consent to process the dentures.
Ms. ******** wax tryin is here in my office, however, she has refused to take the calls from my office manager, and only seems to want to respond through the BBB. It is the goal of my practice to provide the best dental care possible and also to satisfy as many patients as we can. I am rejecting this response because: Again, this business advertises a money back promise if not satisfied, I have made it clear to the business I was not satisfied. The statement that I did not respond to the business except through the BBB is false. I have email communications and a text to prove that this statement is false. They promised the try in within 2 weeks that did not occur it was 5 weeks later they contacted me, after I filed this complaint with the BBB. I asked about the try ins more than once and could not even get an answer as to when they would be ready or why there was a delay. In the meantime I found out they had charged me over four hundred dollars more than they were allowed to charge based on their contract with *****. ***** paid $2000 towards the exact denture I was given and said on the *** I was to pay $2749. Instead, Affordable Dentures charged me $3151. This goes against their contract with ***** and ethical business practices. I noticed that issue wasn't even mentioned in the reply from the business.Regardless of any other claim the business wants to make they advertise a money back promise that they clearly do not intend to honor. That is false advertising. This business is dishonest in their business practices, and they are dishonest in what they stated in their reply as well. That is why I was no longer willing to work with them on the issue of the dentures. This dentist is dishonest and unethical and doesn't honor their advertised money back promise. If you trust them to provide your dentures and are unhappy with the shoddy results of such work (see pictures submitted) you will not be able to do anything about it. Take this situation as a warning. Thier promise for a refund if not satisfied is clearly just a false marketing ploy to get people to trust them and them rip them off.

I am now preparing to file legal action against this business since they did not honor their advertised 100 day money back guarantee.
I am also now contacting the state dental board for the state of MD to report the issues I have had and request they investigate this company including their billing practices.
The 100 day back guarantee has proven to be false advertising because this business will not honor the promise they advertise.

I visited this business on 5/17 to be fitted for a set of dentures. I paid for them in full in the amount of about $1600. I was told they would be ready in about 3 1/2 weeks. They were not. I have made repeated attempts to contact this business and they do not answer the phone, return messages, or make contact in any way to inform me about my purchase. I went in the middle part of May had 13 teeth extracted and a fitting for partials and whole for top. After about a week I called let the dentist know I was having complications and the teeth don’t fit . Not only don’t they not fit, they are completely uneven. When I went into the office he had no staff available and a lot of customers. He was rushing and very rude and uncaring. I kept telling him that the dentures were totally crooked and he was acting as if I was getting on his nerves.. So , after that visit I been trying to reach out to his office to no avail. So, I started calling corporate. I have left emails, over 100 messages and spoke other r representative for their corporate offices and one lady called me back. She stated he wants me to come back there so he can try to fix them ,still no answers from anyone at his office. I feel like they are deliberately waiting so the time frame in which they have to do the work will have ran out and when I do get in there I will have to spend more money . Mind you my Cigna insurance and I took out a loan that I am still paying on and I am yet to receive my service. What do I do now? Thank you for your time and effort. On 10/14/22 I paid Floyd ********************** llI DDS PC $7,378, $1,743 for FS Ultimate Fit upper denture $1743 for Ultimate Fit lower denture and $3910 for the extraction of 28 teeth On 10/24/22 I had the extraction done and on the same day I was given a temporary set of dentures to wear for 6 months so that my gums could heal on 4/1/23 is when I was supposed to be fitted for my permanent set but I still had tooth fragments protruding from my gums that had to be removed and healed so on 5/1/23 I was fitted for my permanent set and had an appointment to come back for them in a week but instead I received a phone call from **** the receptionist saying that my dentures weren't ready and had to be sent out to another lab and that she would call me back in a few weeks and I haven't heard from them since I've constantly called I've constantly left messages I've called the corporate office All they say is that they'll send Dr ********************** a message to getting contact with me and I haven't heard from anybody at this point I just don't know what else to doBusiness Response
