Dear, to whom it may concernI am writing to address Whilbys Auto Repair, located at ********************************************* (Phone: ************).Approximately one month prior to February 25th, my father brought his vintage ************* to your facility for repairs. During this time, there was a misquotation of the expected work, which was eventually clarified and attempted to be rectified. On February 25th, I personally entrusted my 2000 *** 550i for a straightforward repair to address an oil leak at the upper timing cover, the top part of the engine. The vehicle was dropped off around that date, and I was assured that the repair would be completed without issue. After approximately two weeks, I received communication confirming the progress, and I also provided additional partsshocks and strutsto be installed. I was told the repairs would be finalized the following week. This repair was scheduled two months before my planned trip to ********, where I intended to attend a car show with my family. Regrettably, nearly three months later, my vehicle remains unrepaired. I have paid a total of $5,400 for these services, yet I missed my trip and the car show due to the ongoing delays. Furthermore, my vehicle now refuses to start, and I have been informed that this is due to an "existing problem" caused by the work or handling at your shopan issue that did not exist when I initially brought the vehicle in.Throughout this process, communication has been exceedingly difficult. Your staff has failed to answer calls, respond to emails, or provide timely updates. The repeated assurances that my vehicle would be ready "tomorrow" have not been fulfilled, extending the timeline to over three months.Given the circumstances, I am seeking resolution through appropriate compensation, which may include reimbursement for the additional repairs performed at a reputable shop, as well as assistance in rectifying the current issues with my vehicle.

Hello thank you for getting back with me.  Just wondering do I have to wait for this whole process with BBB to be finished before I can pursue the legal / Lawyer route?

On September 12, 2024, my car was taken to ******** Auto Repair to have a motor installed. On January 3, 2025, after over 100 days of having my car, I was told by Mr. **** at ******** that they were still searching for a motor. At that point, I was dissatisfied with ******** Auto Repair and decided to retrieve my vehicle. I was then informed by Mr. **** of ******** that I would be charged approximately $5,000 for accumulated vehicle storage charges. I was completely shocked by this announcement because I was never informed before this day (in writing or verbally) that there was a storage charge for automobiles that had not been repaired or otherwise completed by the *********** of January 17, 2025, ******** Auto Repair is still holding my vehicle for storage payments that were not introduced until I requested a return of my vehicle that was never serviced.I am hoping that the Better Business Bureau can facilitate a return of my vehicle without any storage charges because my intention was to have my vehicle serviced not placed in storage.
