    We have signed up for the recital program at the studio for *********. My daughter has been part of the tap, ballet and hip hop dance classes. We have been regularly making payments to the class but the service started declining at the end of program when the recital was coming closer. The costumes that were ordered for the recital were cheap, knock off from some online website. We were charged 400 dollars for 3 costumes which were not the cost. The costumes had no manufacturing tag on it, all the information was cut. The costumes were made terrible, did not fit as it was not offered custom fit. The costumes were suppose to be designer and fitted.

    My daughter was enrolled in dance classes in the listed dance school. The school requires parents to sign up for auto billing through their online portal.
    When registering for classes on 7/6/23, we paid a $25 registration fee and 1st month tuition of $120.00. On 9/1/23, I was billed again for tuition despite September being the first month of classes.
    On12/16/23, all parents were billed for recital dance costumes. I was billed twice for 1 costume, dance shorts billed at $58.30 and a sports bra top billed at $79.50. I searched the name of the costume and found it to retail for $26.99 for each piece. I reached out the dance school owner who reported there had been a mistake in billing. I followed up via email stating that a refund must be made to my credit card not listed as a credit only able to be used at the dance school.
    The dance school owner replied by email sating I would be refunded for the cost of the costume being billed twice, $130 and the also refunded because the charge for the costume should only have been $70 total, not 130. This ultimately brought the costume refund to $ 205.00.
    I requested that the refund be issued by check because despite the owner saying she initiated a refund to my card, she was not able to provide proof of that and no refund was issued. After multiple follow up attempts, I was finally able to get a check, however, the check was only for the amount of the costumes and not including the tuition. She has refused to release the tuition outside of her online system. She then terminated my daughter form her dance school in retaliation for me pursuing the refund making the credit in her system for the tuition non accessible.
    I spoke with numerous other parents from the dance school and all parents in my daughter’s class were incorrectly billed the same way for the costumes and also double billed for the tuition.

    HI *****, I am so sorry that this issue has gotten to this point. When the issue had risen I was willing and ready to work with you to get it resolved as soon as possible. You decide to show up during a parent meeting asking for your check, after I had already emailed you letting you know the date and time to receive your check. When you showed up on the CORRECT date to pick up your check I was in the middle of teaching a dance class of 6 years olds. Their attention spans can only last so long. I had given you your check and then the doors were locked due to safety. You can back and banged on the doors and had a conversation about how the amount on the check was incorrect. I then explain to you that  TUITION and COSTUMES were two separate payments and how tuition will be going through a 3rd party. As for costumes they come directly through me. You then told me you were done and taking your daughter out of classes and left very abruptly, that was when I let you know I will let her teacher know that she won't be returning to classes. ***** we have done nothing but try to work with you on this issue. Just like any other business there is mistakes that happen when working with a third party. I hope that this message will clear up any confusion and we are happy to speak with you further.
