  Contractor took a 20k deposit, was absent for a month. Over next 6 month period he worked 5 partial days. Contractor installed wrong (non code conforming) insulation on 3 walls. All of the plumbing work contractor did (supply lines to 1 bath and kitchen) had to be removed and replaced by another licensed contractor. Contractor sub out 6k towards licensed electrician work which was done correctly although incomplete. Essentially the only thing done by this person which was up to code standard was the moving of main water line 1 ft into wall. I believe ************* has one ongoing court case and has been ruled against before for 35k in fraud. We dont have much money left after paying him and paying other contractors to fix his mistakes and our insurance claim ends in 2 months. We are financially ruined because of this company

  The insulation installed in the walls was the thickest insulation that would fit within the walls.  I spent more than 2 months working in the evening as and weekends to try and correct work done by the previous contractor, who abandoned the project(I now understand why).  On one evening Mr ***** entered the project in his underwear, drunk and brandishing a pistol, which was a terrifying experience.  He also allowed some of his drug addicted nephews into the project where my equipment was being kept, creating the possibility for massive theft to occur.  My last day on the project, while trying to finish the bathroom floor and install the toilet, Mr. ***** called the police and told them I was ?trespassing?And had me removed from the job, not giving me the opportunity to finish any of the work I had begun.  I worked laborious w/ his insurance adjuster to get them the money owed to them by the insurance company, and once he had received the check, he then had me removed from the job.  He never would have received the check had i not intervened w/ the adjuster.  His entire complaint is riddled w/ falsehoods and half truths.  Mr. ***** suffers from severe alcoholism which I believe effect his cognitive abilities, despite my attempts at reconciliation, he now has obtained his insurance check, and has not hired anyone to complete the project.  Another of his nephews' who is also a friend, and the one who contacted me to help w/ the project, is the one who is working to complete the project.  From him I have received several messages threatening physical harm, including "wrapping his hands around my throat".  Some situations you just have to walk away from. I informed them that I would pay back a portion of the money prior to these threats on my Life. And still plan on doing so.
