    I sent my flute for a repair quote for a minor issue. I declined the quote due to the fact that they quoted $280 for non-existent issues. They returned the flute severely damaged to the point that it is no longer playable. They refused to fix this damage or compensate me in any way.

    Mr. ***** originally brought his instrument into our store on Feb 10, 2025.  At the time he was in our store he told our staff that he had purchased the instrument several years ago used on **** and had never had any work done on it. It is normally recommended that a flute is serviced at least yearly to keep it in good working order.  I have attached the estimate from our repair shop to show the amount of work the instrument needed to be in good playing condition.  There are many moving parts on a flute, which interconnect. You cannot just fix one key without seeing how it affects all the other keys of the instrument and the overall playability.  Instrument pads are affixed with glue which can come loose at any time, especially when an instrument is older and has not been serviced properly. We could glue the pad back in (and are willing to do that) but his flute would still not work properly.  We did not severely damage his flute, or quote him for non-existent repair issues.
    I have also attached the email chain between Mr. ***** and out store manager which occurred after he picked up his flute.  As you can see, our employee was extremely professional in this interaction and asked Mr. ***** to contact our repair shop to help resolve the issue, which he did not do. There is nothing for him to be compensated for and I do not believe he was treated rudely at any time.

    We asked the customer to contact us and he did not.  Instead he has put negative reviews online and contacted you. I believe he is simply trying to get a free repair.  In fact, we do not know for sure that the pad fell out before he left the store with the instrument or if happened afterward.  We will not give him a $300 repair for free.  We can glue his pad back in at no charge - but it will not make the instrument play.
