      I came in for a service on 9/18 and provided my insurance information twice and they did not run my insurance and charged me $370. I spoke to my insurance company and they stated that I should not have been charged and assisted me with filing my claim to have them pay Advanced Radiology so that I can receive my refund. I called Advanced Radiology on 10/8 to check on my claim, as my insurance stated that it was processed on 10/2. I was told by a representative that they had not received the payment from the insurance yet and once they received it, they would submit the refund request and to call back in 2-3 weeks to check on the status. I called in 3 weeks later on 10/30 to check on the status, only to be told that they received the payment from my insurance company on 10/11, three days after I called, but never put in a request for my refund. I then spoke to the supervisor Alex who told me “they don’t check people’s accounts everyday and they don’t put refund requests in even after the insurance pays them until the patient calls and asks for their money back”. I am extremely disgusted as they are now telling me that I have to wait an ADDITIONAL 30 DAYS to receive my money.

      I am being billed by advanced radiology for a claim from March 2023 that my Insurance UHC paid in Jan 2024. I've called my insurance and advanced radiology numerous times, almost monthly, and I am not getting anywhere. My insurance paid and later retracted my claim initially because somehow it processed under a company called advocate christ. However, they reprocessed to pay advanced radiology, and every time I call UHC they insist advanced radiology was paid!! I have eobs that say I have zero responsibility! Why is a posting error on advanced radiology end involving me? I called in August with a United Healthcare rep on a three way call and got a supervisor by the name of Shaniqua who refused to listen to United rep and was downright rude. UHC says they paid Advanced says no it retracted?? Why am I having to deal with this stress for over a year now! The rep at Advanced could not even articulate why a retraction is my responsibility? Like why was it retracted? No one can answer this. United said the only thing retracted was the claim paid under the wrong provider, but that they cleared that up and reprocessed and paid Advanced Radiology!! I have the eob proof but I'm not getting anywhere. This should not fall on the Patient shoulders the lack of follow up AR for lazy advanced radiology to contact United to get to the bottom of this! I am almost 100 certain it's a posting error on advanced end. It needs to be escalated to corporate because I've dealt with nothing but incompetence. I'm going to file complaints with the Insurance Commisioner and possibly get legal counsel next steps.
