I had a mini-split system installed by Energy Wise in December through the Chop-a-Watt program. During the process, **** from Energy **** visited my home and discussed various challenges he had encountered with the **** program. He encouraged me to apply for the Chop-a-Watt program that day and persistently followed up to ensure I completed the application. However, according to ***** ****, attorney for Choptank, the program only provides system upgrades for two-bedroom homes. As my home has three bedrooms, I did not receive a third mini-split unit. When I raised this issue with ****, he attempted to charge me $2,200 for the additional unit. Additionally, he left my furnace vent in place, only securing it with tape, and was unable to obtain efficient performance readings after the installation.Choptank has offered $650 to address the furnace vent issue. However, my request remains for the installation of the third mini-split unit, the necessary system upgrade, and reimbursement of the $650.This situation has caused significant distress, impacting my mental health. As a result, I have required an adjustment to my medication, increased my dosage, and now attend weekly therapy and frequent psychiatric appointments.I will be sharing all relevant evidence, including emails, phone records, and photographs, with every board member of Choptank. Please let me know if you require any additional documentation. I have a lot of evidence and will gladly provide it, but it is a lot. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and look forward to your response

Work for the client was completed under two separately funded programs, and no contracts were held directly with the client. The funding comes from federal and state sources and there are guidelines and budgets that must be adhered to.  The **** and Chop-a-watt (round1) work concluded on 6/14/23, and the Chop-a-Watt work (round 2) concluded on 12/13/24. EnergyWise LLC provided all possible services to the client within the budgets of each program.  A *** inspection of the work completed 6/14/23 did generate a punch list of items that have all been corrected prior to completion of the 12/13/24 work scope.

The Chop-a-Watt program budget could only provide a Three Head mini-split system, the client was offered the option to pay for a fourth unit out of pocket (estimated $2,200.00). The client declined this option, which was perfectly acceptable.

Once the work was completed, which included a 3 head mini-split system and additional attic insulation, the customer began to complain to the program.  To further accommodate the client, Energywise LLC agreed to cover the cost of repairs ($650), the client had taken on in order to correct portions of our work scope she was dissatisfied with. The client ultimately declined the $650 because neither the Chop-a-Watt program nor Energywise LLC was going to spend the additional $2,200 to install and additional fourth mini-split head that the customer had declined prior the work commencing.  I have the customers signature for the completion of both work scopes as well as other documentation if needed.

    Best regards,
    ****

I have attempted to work this out with Energy Wise, I want the $650 to fix the furnace and the mini split I was shorted and the outside unit upgraded. **** from Energy Wise is refusing to take care of this matter. If he doesn't resolve this I will be taking him to court. I have the ******* bills showing the calls back and forth and pictures. I was not able to attach those items. I apologize for not getting this done sooner. I have been extremely ill.

I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

I am willing to pay *** **** $650 and $650 only. I am not willing to install an additional mini-splits for her.  In order for me to pay the $650 she will need to sign the agreement provided to her by Choptabk and EnergyWise. Once I have an executed agreement in hand I will pay her the $650.  This will also be last final communication with *** ****.
