On 7/30/24 we had a new roof installed by Roofers Elite for the contracted price of $28,928. They are a Certainteed certified roofer, they offer a 10 year warranty on workmanship and they carried a $3,000,000.00 insurance policy so we felt safe in hiring them for the job. On 2/7/25 our new roof started leaking in three locations. We contacted the owner of the company, **** ********** and his father-in-law ***** who is his job site manager. The next day they sent out two employees to fix the leak. All the employee did was nail down shingles. We are currently having a new addition built and our contractor came by to see how bad the leaking was inside the new rooms. He went up on the roof and assessed the situation. He informed ***** employees that just putting a nail through the shingle would not fix the leaking and that he needed to find where the water was coming in from. The employee pulled back shingles and exposed the underlayment which was installed incorrectly and was cracked allowing water to come in through the valleys. In reviewing the Certainteed installation requirements for the Winterguard product used it clearly states the product can only be used in valleys if it is laid vertically and Roofers Elite installed it horizontally during the 7/30/25 installation. It was more work than the employee could handle on his own so he had us go buy a tarp that he nailed up over it, then he left. We did not hear back from **** or ***** on a plan for repairing the leak after his employees left. On 2/17/25 the roof started leaking in two new locations. We sent photos and videos to **** and *****. On 2/18/25 we heard back from ***** that he would discuss with **** and get back to us by the end of that week with a plan. That is the last we have heard from them. We have sent messages since and had no response. We our now needing a new roof and have water damage inside our house that has to be repaired.
