      a truck was brought for diagnostics on the motor transmission and rear end and a cost estimate for the exhaust and rear springs too. the location avoided contact for months and when customer ********************** was contacted the manager refused to send photos or perform the requested service. i did not ask for repairs. i asked for photos of the damage and id info. i repeatedly offered to pay for the engine diagnostics. i have been mistreated at this location several times. the service writers will lie about service scheduling and cost. they also refused to perform standard repairs if the bolts were *****. they also charged for services they did not perform.

      We have reached out to **************** on numerous occasions.  The latest correspondence from the District Manager to **************** is as follows:

      "With the amount of rust damage that your vehicle has we cannot offer you the services that you have requested. We live in a state that can cause vehicles to become extremely rusted, when this happens in critical areas of the vehicle it can cause the vehicle to be unsafe. Rust is an item that can become very expensive to fix. You have also requested information on the inspection sticker on the vehicle was from back in 2019 and issued in the month of May. Where that was over 3 years ago we will not speculate what the condition of the vehicle was or may have been 3 years prior.  There are many times where the rust becomes more expensive to fix that the vehicles value. During times like this we make the customer aware of the issues, many times will stop at that point and advise the customer to seek an alternative vehicle for transportation. Our service manager in the Presque Isle location has sent the pictures of the damage that was noticed during the visual inspection, but you have stated that you did not receive all of them I have attached the pictures of the items noticed during the visual inspection. The store has also tried to make contact with you from the number that was listed but there is not an option to leave a voicemail. I understand that the vehicle cannot be driven but as a customer ********************** we are willing to tow the vehicle to a different location or home for you within a reasonable distance from our Presque Isle store. If you can supply me with the address that you would like the vehicle towed to, I can start working on that for you".

      the business offered to tow the vehivle to a qualified repair facility but refused to verify that the vehicle was in fact the one described.  i asked the service manager to send photos of the plate and inspection sticker and exterior but they did not comply.  pipd stated that the vehicle is not at vip.  vip did not verify that the vehicle was towed or if they have the correct vehicle.

      Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.

      On 8/5/2022 we reached out to *************** offering to tow the vehicle to a location of his choice within reasonable distance of the Presque Isle location. We have been waiting on *************** to supply us with a address that he would like the vehicle towed to. As of 8/16/2022 the vehicle is still in the ************ locations parking lot and has not been moved.  The ****************************** has verified that the vehicle is still in the parking lot. As of 8/16/2022 we are awaiting a location from *************** to where he would like the vehicle towed to.
