Brought my MKZ in for tire changeover and new tire sensors and an alignment . I had just had the car aligned at a local garage and it did not feel right . I got the car back and headed up center street and couldn't believe it was the same car. I don't think the car has ever handled that good since I bought the car 11 years ago. Thank you guys for an excellent job !! ***** ***

I have been using VIP since moving to *****. Recently I went in to get a my yearly inspection and also an oil change. The inspection came back and said my car failed due to brakes. This made no sense to me as VIP changed my brakes last year. When I expressed this information to the inspection person he looked at me and said are you sure? I told him yes and then the manager pulled my history up on the computer. There it was my brakes were changed a year ago. The manager said he wasn't sure what could be done but they would call the district manager to find out as this didnt make sense. I heard back from the inspection person a few days later and he told me the best that could be done was 10% off the service. (This is over a $400 dollar service I just completed last year) When I expressed this was ridiculous the inspection person told me it was the best that could be done. I decided I would get a second opinion. I went to another place in my town and asked him to do an inspection. He called me the next day and said there was no issue with my car and I passed inspection. I explained to him the situation with VIP and he told he had no idea why there would have been concerns with my brakes as they were almost brand new. He took my car out for a test drive with no issues. I am seriously disappointed with the way this was handled. After this I wont be back.

We seemed to have great report and service at VIP and they became our primary shop. Lately, when we bring vehicles in, it turns into more work (often exceeding **** bucks on fairly new vehicles) Also, they expect me to tell them each time I'm a vet and if I forget to do that timely i forfit my discount. Feels like they hope you forget about the vets discount. Likewise, i didnt even know about a free inspection for vets. Do I get it or not. It should be put in your system so it shows up every time. Latest add on was an alignment. I felt good about t because it was not a **** dollars and thus cheaper than buying new tires, but the techs forgot to reset the dash board lights. I had to reschedule to get this fixed. Somebody named *** in Auburn was going to turn me away when I already had an appointment. He figured it out but charged me another hours ***** to fix this. His arguing distracted me and I forgot the vets discount again. I have been professional and civil through all this and I have not burned any bridges with VIP so that going back is an option. In conclusion, I feel a shift in attitude at VIP! Now when I go in for oil changes etc. I will most certainly be buyer beware of add ons (second opinions are needed), I encourage other customers to do the same, and lastly I would encourage VIP management to renew the good old way of helping people rather than helping themselves to our wallets. Respectfully yours, ************

I made an appointment to get all four tires done at the ********** ***** location and since than none of my tires are holding air pressure. I went back in again and I asked them to get both my radiator fans working. They later called me and told me that my car needs a new fan relay. I told them to go ahead with it. In the end they ended up charging me $220 just to replace a fuse. I ended up speaking with the mechanic who worked on my car at garage bay two and he accidentally told on the company by accident. He told me they didn't even need to replace the fuse and that he wiggled it in place and the fans turned on. So why am I paying for a part that they never replaced? I let it go just to later on I find out the fans aren't working at all... VIP is a complete rip off! I will never go back!

VIP TIRES AND SERVICE - 6 ***********- ********** ** ***** -----------THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSIUNESS; I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE EVER . on thursday september 14 , 2023 i was treated horribly from the get-go by a *** and later by the whole staff giving me total runaround later that same day. they had done work on my vehicle on 01/22/2023 and had replaced an alternator and serpentine belt. they also broke off a plastic piece near these areas and took off a k*** holding my alternator etc in place. to make a long story shorter. due to their shabby work at this location, on this same day i had to replace an alternator and serpentine belt ( that they refused to reimburse me for these replaced items. so the district /corporate office has /will ne contacted along with the attorney generals office and the local better business bureau.

I went to get an inspection a month ago and mentioned that my front end was shaking. They did they inspection, flagged my brakes, charged me almost 600$ to fix the front breaks, and sent me on my way with a passed inspection.Today I went somewhere else to get a balance hoping that the shaking would stop. They put my truck up and told me that my cv axels were completely shot, unsafe to drive on atall, and that they are visibly ruined.I called vip back to ask how this was missed, and the person I spoke to was rude and defensive. I have heard bad thing about vip tire, but I can confirm they are not a professional establishment and you should save your time and money and go anywhere else.

      VIP Tires & Service

      Date: 02/07/2023

The customer, came into our Windham, ME location on 2/3/23. The customer's appointment was for 4 tires. With every vehicle that enters a VIP Tires & Service, we offer a free alignment check, a free battery check, and a complimentary multi-point inspection. In addition, these services give information and recommendations to the customer about the safety issues and upcoming manufacturer's recommended services.

During the multi-point inspection, our Master Technician noted that there were a few issues that the customer should be made aware of: namely, the irregular wear on the old tires that could affect the new tires that were being installed that day which was diagnosed as play in the right front inner tie rod, a leaking valve cover that could be a fire hazard in the future, a dirty air filter, and per manufacturer's recommendations due to mileage, a rear differential fluid, and transmission fluid drain that were due soon.

This information was given to the customer so that they knew everything that was going on with their vehicle and could make informed decisions about work that needed to be done to make the truck safe and the manufacturer's recommendations to extend the life of the vehicle. Our team pressured the customer at no point beyond letting them know that we could perform that work and what timeline was recommended to not void the manufacturer's warranty on the new tires being installed. The customer stated he had his mechanic that could perform the work that was highlighted, and we continued to install the tires and air filter that day.

Our technicians followed the in-store processes they are trained to do to keep the customer up to date with the condition of the vehicle and showed the customer the issues in person so they could verify them. These suggestions were made specifically for the customer in question and the condition of their vehicle.
