      This issue happened at ************ Maine location for Shermans Book Store *****, on 12/23/23 approx. 1-2pm, my mother and I went to make gift purchases for the holidays, the Cashier was having issues with the register, and my mother was double charged on an order of $114 and, change, the receipt clearly showed the two seperate transactions, one for the initial payment, and another saying the money was owed back in cash for the same amount, they promptly closed the drawer and did not do this, then disappeared with the receipt upon being asked give my mother the money she was owed with no response, this went on until my mother became visibly and verbally upset at which point they called the police, whom had been showed the receipt as well as allowed to talk to the owner, whom told the officer a bold face lie about his bull s*** credit sytem, and while the police were polite and helpful, the store employees were all very rude, and uncooperative.
