    Buyer Beware!! Recently bought a 2002 ***** Trailblazer from "***" at this garage, which is over 2 hours away from where I live. He told us it was in good condition, former owner took great care of vehicle, everything was serviced, and the garage stickered it for safety. Three days later, engine light came on which prompted a visit to my local mechanic. My mechanic found several safety violations that would void any inspection sticker: right upper ball joint was going, right trail arm bracket and frame was rotting, serious engine knock (I don't know cars, so did not know what to listen for on this), rear brake pads needing replaced, and emergency brake cable was cut -- not working.One call to garage and *** disagreed with my mechanic's assessment, but said he'd fix the safety issues. As for the engine knock, that was on us, not him, and we would have to drive this thing all the way back down to him in the current condition it's in. As for the emergency brake, he said since the vehicle was an automatic, we really didn't need the emergency brake anyway, but he'd take care of it.I requested a refund, not wanting to drive a dangerous vehicle over 2 hours away. He declined the refund and said that wasn't happening and apparently he no longer had the money from the sale. Interesting, because that call was made 3 days after the sale.
