Our dog, ***, was displaying limb soreness (she had trouble walking) and diarrhea. We brought her into Foxcroft Vet on September 08, 2022. She was examined by ***************************. ****** said *** was a few pounds over weight and suggested a diet change and a follow up appointment for October 06, 2022. No other diagnosis was made. Over the next two weeks *** continued to display worsening limb soreness, the diarrhea continued and she became more lethargic. We called Foxcroft Vet on September 23 and explained her worsening condition and that we were willing to pay any emergency costs for a visit. We were quickly told that her symptons were not life threatening and it was not an emergency or urgent matter. *** was rushed to the *************************** in ******, ***** on the evening of September 23. She was quickly diagnosed with Lyme disease. The vet at this hospital explained the limb soreness and diarrhea are clear signs of Lyme. This vet said we caught it just in time before any organ damage was done. Obviously, *** had Lyme when visiting Foxcroft Vet and examined by ****** on September 08.As a result of this, We would like a refund of the $322.77. This was a diagnosis that was completely missed by Foxcroft Vet, even though we made it clear to ****** that *** was displaying limb pain and diarrhea. This vet should not be compensated for missing a diagnosis and putting our pets health at risk.
