    I accepted a proposal on January 5, 2023, to remodel my kitchen and bathroom from D&R Handyman Services, LLC. The proposal was for $7,500 materials, labor and disposal. $3,750 to start the work and $3,750 due at the completion of the proposed job, as the months went on the kitchen and bathroom were never completed, I have bubbles in the wall, I have a hole at the bottom where my heater is, where they did not measure correctly, my electrical socket is exposed and the holes they needed for the electrical socket were not cut out properly either, they did not complete painting of the kitchen wall, they did not complete trimming the kitchen. I am missing flooring from the kitchen to the bathroom and needed to finish the door from the kitchen to the bathroom. Besides from them showing up midmorning and finishing the day with just 4 hours of work for that day, there were also a lot of times they did not show up for one reason or another. I gave them upfront $3,750 to start the job, and they were not supposed to get any more money until the job was completed, instead they demanded my mother who is 85 years old in asking for $2,000 more after I let **** know that I will discuss this later with him. Instead, he took advantage of my mother and was able to get the $2,000 from her and left for the day, before I got home. Pretty much after that nothing else was completed. I spoke with ****** the owner of the business and she agreed to fix any repairs that the kitchen needed and to complete the job by finishing the bathroom at no extra charge. As of today 04/24/2023, I have reached out to the owner ****** 3 times and have not received any response from her. This whole situation has been extremely stressful and frustrating. We feel that we were robbed out of $5,750. We would just like to get our money back so that we can contact someone else who can finish what mess they had started. The owner of the business is *****************************, the contractor working for her is *************************.
