Date of transaction: 06/02/2024 Amount of money paid to business: $99.00 What the business committed to provide: The business committed to provide, and failed to provide; clean, private, functional, and comfortable rooms. Northeastern Motel also committed to and failed to provide free Wi-Fi (which did not work), and a kid-friendly environment (which it was not). On ***************************************, it states, Come stay at the warm friendly motel! For *** rooms please give the front desk a call so they can take care of you. The staff was not warm nor friendly. Upon arrival I was told that service dogs were not welcome. What the nature of the dispute is: After arriving and realizing it was a very uncomfortable experience, I noticed the room was very dirty (blood and urine). The beds and the walls were filthy and stained. There were bugs in the room. I had to go. Not long after checking in, I returned to the front desk to ask for a refund and let them know about the sanitary concerns. The owner proceeded to yell and insult me while threatening me. I was belittled, threatened with physical assault, and accused of not having any money. I felt very unsafe, and I am in shock this business is still open. Business did not try to resolve the problem, instead they made threats and accusations. Account/order/tracking number: I have a receipt for half of a refund. I was never sent a confirmation email for my original reservation. (Merchant ID: ***8339, Device ID: 9863, Terminal ID: PP01, Transaction #: 1, Batch #: 8)Before booking, I read about the business on their ****** Maps site and on their website. I called Northeaster Motel and briefly spoke on the phone with a woman. She said something like If I like you, you get a discount. I immediately felt uncomfortable but brushed it off as something comical. It's ironic that the same woman is the same person who berated me when I communicated my concern. Looking back now, it was definitely a big RED FLAG.
