    The main vending machine on the first floor of ********************* is structurally designed to steal the students' money and snacks. Not only has this machine stolen my money twice, on May 2nd and May 23, but every time I walk by this particular vending machine, it is loaded with snacks that remain trapped. I've uploaded pictures of a bag of ******** that this vending was unable to dispense properly because it is not designed to do so. I've also attached correspondence as an example of how once this vending machine steals your money, the operator, Casco Bay Food & Beverage, refuses to offer a refund or even a reimbursement of the stolen snack.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. Sadly, they are a possible scam operation. The vending machines are designed to enable theft to the tune of thousands of dollars a year. None of the snacks are dispensed properly, and they refuse to offer refunds.

    To Whom It May Concern,

     

    Casco Bay Food and Beverage LLC does maintain vending machines at the ****************************, including the ********************* location referenced in the complaint. We can confirm that ***** *. contacted our **************** team beginning March 2, 2025, regarding an issue with a vending machine transaction in which she did not receive a bag of popcorn purchased for $1.50.

     

    Our team responded promptly and consistently, providing information on how to request a refund using our established procedure. This includes completing a refund slip, which is made available at each vending location and collected by our route drivers. ***** *. mentioned difficulty in locating the refund slips; however, we verified with our route supervisor that they were indeed available on-site at *********************, and arrangements were made to ensure additional slips were provided if needed.

     

    Our refund process is in place to fairly and efficiently handle occasional vending issues. We will review the refund slips that have been processed, and if ***** *. has not already completed a request and received a refund, we will issue a refund check in the amount of $1.50 to resolve the matter.


    We are committed to customer satisfaction and appreciate the opportunity to address this concern. Please let us know if any further information is needed.
